Extreme HM for Dungeons

I was thinking with Endless Archives coming out, they should allow us to go into a even more difficult mode for dungeons to get perfected dungeon sets. Call it, something like Demon mode or something of that nature that would make everything trash, even an extra mini boss and not just the dungeon bosses, extremely difficult. A lot of us would love that, plus it would open a lot of dungeon content back up for achieves, perfected Nirn setups. I mean Wayrest Sewers is already being farmed imagine perfected sets for that. What do you guys think?

People didn't really like when perfected sets were added when they've already farmed for things. While I love dungeons, I don't think this is a good idea. A better idea is to add more achievements to previous dungeons and add rewards to challengers and side achievements.

Mixed feelings about this suggestion. I'd enjoy some additions to existing dungeons, either by adding a new difficulty tier (Ithink that's very unlikely tho) or simply by creating fun achievements tied to them.

But I don't see the need for perfected gear sets (and definitely don't want to see zos ideas regarding "perfected sergeant's mail"), it would be sufficient to reward more keys/transmutes/cosmetics imo.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

For every person that I hear that wants a Harder HM... there are 20 people that want a difficulty in between Normal and Chaos.
Not to mention, a lot of the Dungeons had been harder at one time or another. They all have been tamed down in one way or another.

Are you talking about something leaked and not officiallly released info by ZoS? Just a heads up it is a violation of forum rules.

You've got to be joking right? You're going to be a stickler for that? It wasn't a data mine, or a hack, it was a word uttered by a ZOS employee, and later raised in a livestream. You want everyone to pretend they didn't hear that?

It's hard enough trying to get a group to do HM dungeons in the first place, everyone wants to do a trial. Besides I don't think Perfected Sets will be enough incentive besides sticker book farmers.

I really don't think mentioning the Endless Archives or the new Class Sets violate the rules. There's literally a two page thread about it, which was moved by a moderator to this section of the forums.

There's also the fact that a mod also looked at this thread and moved it.

Please take a look at the words I marked red. Those words are quite often used here in the forum. Usually the ones using them do so with the thought that they mean *a lot of players* or *many players* or *90 out of 100* and that they are speaking for a certain number of players etc.. But in 99% of the time those people fail to understand that *a lot of us* does NOT mean "a larger/huge number/amount of" and that they are NOT talking for many other players.

Why? Simply because only a fraction of the playerbase is present in the forum. For example if you have 1,000,000 players. Maybe 100,000 are registered in the forum and with luck maybe 5,000-10,000 are active. Out of those perhaps a few hundred players do have a similar opinion as those writing *a lot of us* . The same goes for the amount of players ingame. You can have 300,000 out of 1,000,000 doing dungeons, but only 30,000 are doing them on Vet and out of those, 3,000 on Vet HM.

Now the question is, why should a company spent resources in form of time, manpower and money on something like *Extrem HM Modes* or *Ultra Vet HM Modes* or what ever, if it would only be for a fraction of the playerbase (something like 0,1% to 0,5% or perhaps with luck 1% of the whole base)?! That would be a waste.

I do know that there are *a few* players who would like to have something more challenging. With a bit of luck they may get something with the Endless Dungeon (eg. the longer you are inside the harder it will get  ). But I don't think that ZOS will introduce new Dungeon or Trial Modes for them, simply because it would be way too much work, with way to less benefit :/ .

Vet Overland is more likely than super vet dungeons.
I'd love to see more fun achievements for dungeons though, weird stuff. Dunno what, but just more fun stuff with silly unlockables. Maybe call them Shivering Isles achievements, or Cadwells Absurd Achievements for dungeons, and give us silly emotes, mounts, furnishings, and motifs. For example, there could be a troll that princess carries you as a mount for an achievement in Direfrost Keep, or a staff motif from Fungal Grotto that's just a long wooden spike with a goblin head mounted on it, or that portal that shoots you up into the air from the final boss of Imperial City Prison as a housing item. Stuff like that for doing silly (but somewhat difficult) achievements in dungeons.

That's a good idea, But I worry the maps would then be filled with trolls princess-carrying players everywhere, and it'll ruin the ..Actually, I'm totally for it ! Let's do this ! Would be fun !

Normal and veteran. What about story, explorable, and legendary modes.

    I agree
