Stuck in Mid-air in Daggerfall

I was fighting Bloodthorne nasties and about to speak to the King in the castle when suddenly my character was in mid-air and that's where I'm stuck...perpetually falling and screaming. I wasn't even outside or anywhere near a ledge. I'm currently "Waiting for an Agent," but not holding out much hope that I'll get one. I tried fast travel, I tried logging out; she's just hanging in the air screaming her pixelly lungs out. 
Is anyone else having an issue like this one?
Edit: I finally typed /stuck in the chat so I would die and could resurrect at a shrine. I had been hoping to avoid that, but at least it worked.
