Saying that the servers are down for maintenance doesn't tell us anything we don't already know. What would be good if they gave an estimate (overestimate if you must) of server down time. Then I wouldn't sit at my computer constantly refreshing the login screen, I could potentially be good at my real life in the mean time.

They had a pretty serious problem with the login's and shut down mail because of it. It has to stay down till they fix it so it may take time.

So why couldn't they just make a sticky With just this info and put it on the top? Would solve a lot of trouble.
