I wonder if they are going to replace these campaigns as well. Gray Host and Blackreach have been around for years now. These used to be renamed to better fit the most recent chapter.

I know I'll get flamed for this...and get told to "git good"...but I for one have had enough of the PvP events. I know the majority (maybe) enjoy them and good for you.

But I will always say that ZoS should give an alternative to the PvP events for those that do not enjoy PvP. Yes I know...PvP'ers have to suffer through multiple PvE events, but at least there is nothing that prevents you from collecting tickets with PvE events.

PvP'ers enjoy Pve content as much as us PvE'ers enjoy PvP. And it seems like every other event has been PvP these last 12 months.

    Ok flame away...

You're entitled to your opinion, just like everyone else. And there are plenty of other people who feel as you do.

Personally, I enjoy the Whitestrake's Mayhem and Imperial City events, even though I stink at PvP. But it did take me a couple of years to start to warm up to them.

What is "preventing" people from getting tickets? Fear of dying in a video game? Embarrassment from dying in a video game? I don't understand. What is the difference in your character being killed by a dragon, or killed by some anonymous player? Is being killed by an AI script somehow more honorable than being killed by an intelligent, independent thinking being?

Or is it simply "It's much harder to get tickets from PvP, so I want my experience to be easier/not involve much effort?"

If the tickets were contained inside a chest that was guarded by a PvE dragon with the same difficulty as a Northern Elsweyr dragon, it would be just as difficult for many players to get those tickets-- in fact, probably much more difficult. It isn't the fact that it's other players per se which is the issue for a lot of players; it's the fact that the other players are more alert, sneakier, more responsive, and more skillful than an AI would be.

So, harder to get the tickets (dragon) = OK

Easier to get the tickets (do a quick PvE quest in a PvP zone) = "preventing you from getting tickets."

    I see.

    I see.

From your response, I see that you didn't see what I was saying.

You asked if getting killed by an AI script is more "honorable" than being killed by an actual person (slightly paraphrased). And I'm saying that that isn't it.

Some of the PvE events require doing things such as completing dungeons, killing world bosses, or killing dragons in order to earn tickets and event coffers. And guess what, those kinds of PvE events usually generate complaints, too.

Having to kill a dragon is often actually easier for some players than having to complete a dungeon, because during an event there is usually a crowd of players fighting dragons such that even rank noobie players can still earn their tickets and event coffers-- although that can be affected by which server you're playing on and what time of day it is in various time zones, since you might be on at a time when the server (or your particular instance, anyway) seems to be pretty much empty.

On the other hand, for a lot of players the requirement to complete a dungeon means having to do it as part of a PUG, which often ends up being problematic for them due to conflicts of goals and interests between the players in any given PUG.

So the forums fill up with complaints during those types of PvE events as well, with some players begging for "easy solo story mode" dungeons, or world events and world bosses that scale in difficulty based on the number of players involved.

Personally, I agree with you that it isn't terribly difficult to earn event tickets and event coffers during these PvP events, and that if players would simply get over their fear of dying in PvP, or whatever it is that's holding them back, and jump in then they might find that these PvP events can actually be a lot of fun.

But these complaints and requests are not unique to PvP events, because regardless of the nature of an event and the type of activities required to earn event tickets and event coffers, there are going to be some players who aren't happy about it. And that's okay, because everyone is entitled to have an opinion and to be able to voice it, even if they're in the minority.
