That Meln the Mouthless' "corpse" is the exact same model as the Cadaverous Assassin Polymorph obtained from the Dark Brotherhood?

It's a bit unusual. From what I can tell, skeletons (the creature that's reanimated bones) use the same skeleton (the internal control for how animations play on the model) as humanoid NPCs and can wear the same outfits, so it's a bit odd that the corpse isn't wearing the Telvanni Wizard-Lord Robe costume.

Possibly it's to hide the fact that Meln's robe is actually a rather garish shade of pink?

Or perhaps that was just a placeholder that got missed in Q/A?

Would be more adequate than a Telvanni Magister wearing Dark Brotherhood armor.

All I have got to say about that character is that his laugh during the quest really cracked me and my 5 year old Nephew up. Such a shame that the memento you get for doing that quest is not just that crazy laugh, I would PAY money for that memento!!

It's just ZOS reusing assets. They don't have to bother making a custom Skeleton wearing the Telvanni Magister outfit, cause the Brotherhood one looks similar enough and don't expect players to look too closely.

He was my favorite character. At the end of the MQ when he thanks you for showing him an adventure was great! I haven’t enjoyed a DLC character since Earl Leythen.

Yeah, he reminds me alot of Zoltun Kulle from D3.

In case anyone else missed it, you can use the Meln's soul gem memento anywhere anytime to hear a new random line from him! Lots of funny Telvanni factoids and even goss about Gadayn

(It doesn't work in some main quest areas in Necrom, try it anywhere else tho)
