Vaermina's Champion Not Fighting

In A Calamity of Fate quest, when I get to the part where I am supposed to defeat Vaermin's champion, it doesn't respond to my attacks. It just sits in the middle of the arena without fighting or reacting to being attacked. Thus I can't advance the quest. ReloadUI and backtracking through the last door had no effect.

    I have had two boss fights in the main story quest bug. Just leaving the game and coming back fixes it. Note, I te was restarted the PC each time for other reasons, but it might help.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    I logged out the character, and when she logged back in she was back at the entry portal for the Panopticon. After repeating the entire path to the site of the champion fight the champion did respond. Unfortunately my level 28 arcanist and her companion were unable to defeat the 2M+ boss. I suspect my original problem may have related to jumping down to the ramp that led to the door rather than going up from the bottom of the ramp.

    We appreciate the update regarding this issue with the NPC not responding. With the quest now working again, we will go ahead and close the thread from further posts.
