Interactable objects not resetting

I have been trying to do the Restoring the Guardians quest for 12hours+ now. The fact is that is not the only quest/interactable object issue. The chest to Crows Wood refuses to reset like so many other objects, and this is causing whole quest to become stuck. This is further noticable when it is a main story quest that it happens to. This needs to be fixed, maybe restarting the server every night for about 30 minutes like Eve. This would reset all the bugged objects and would work until you found a way to fix the underlying problem/s.
