I love him, and especially how he mocks the low difficulty of overland. xD

The voice actor makes this perfect companion even better. I wonder if they sneaked in some Mass Effect easter eggs. :joy:

I have the German localization. I wonder if we got the voice equivalent for Sharp... Anyone knows?

Faintly reminds me of that - just older...

    He does? In what way?

    " Is that....it?"
"This is a skill issue "

    Things along those lines.

Do you run with companions a lot? Because they ALL have lines like that. Ember loves to say, "Is it over?" Isobel says something similar, as does Bastian and Mirri.

EDIT: Perhaps it's confirmation bias on your part; perhaps you think overland is too easy, therefore you assume comments like that are speaking to that sentiment, when IMO, the companions are just bragging about their own prowess.

Also wanted to add, because of Sharp, I've actually changed my dialogue option to MORE frequent from normal. I actually like hearing the things Sharp has to say... and even bought the two-seated Dwemer spider just to cart us around. That and I figured Azandar would appreciate it more too since he apparently doesn't know how to 'drive' a mount... even though he was raised with camels in Alik'r.

While I'm 90% certain this is a coincidence...

    - He has a tragic past.
    - Suffered at the hands of an evil genius.
    - Isn't human or particularly close to human.
    - Attacked someone's face.
    - Is the key to the evil genius's plan due to something special about his brain/mind/soul/whatever.

Sharp-As-Night is a lot like MCU Rocket Raccoon.

i'm very happy to hear this guys personality seems to be RIGHT on par with the character i want to use him with. i havent gotten the xpac yet for reasons... So getting him is the only thing i'm looking forward to.

Had chosen to use him because i was waiting for a male companion 'pet', since my char is just evil like that. Since we were cheated out of a male Khajiit, the lizard is even better, especially where argonians have been used as 'pets' already.

I'm thoroughly impressed by Sharp. I think he's an all-round great character based on what I've seen so far. But the greatest appeal is of a quirky, personal nature.

All I knew before yesterday was that we were getting an argonian boy as a companion; I had not stayed up to speed with any news about him other than that. Then events began to unfold... I heard from a friend in passing that Sharp doesn't like
    outfitting.

I was deeply upset by the news because there are few things I like more. How would I love him if he despised one of my favourite pastimes?

I got to thinking, why was I so invested in the character? Then it hit me: I subconsciously craved an argonian companion for my orc arcanist. Because my orc arcanist is in my headcanon an asari from the Mass Effect universe. And what race would better double as a turian in ESO than an argonian? I asked my friend with high hopes, "Does he rasp like a Vakarian?". My friend was vague in his response.

So imagine my surprised squeals when I walked up to Sharp yesterday and heard his voice  I did not know before then that he was voiced by Keener.

I don't even hold it against him now that he lacks enthusiasm for
    fashion.

Glad you like Sharp, I think he's definitely the best companion so far. Plus, the outfit station loss of rapport is ONLY -1 and it seems to have a fairly long cooldown. Considering all the ways we gain rapport with Sharp, IMO this loss is really nothing to worry about. I typically hate losing rapport when the companion scolds us over something we do... at least Sharp doesn't actually comment about our re-fashioning.

I got Sharp the day before yesterday without having read any guides about his preferences. I went fishing with him for the achievement and decided to take the opportunity to get started on the Necrom angler achievement. I was so absolutely delighted by how much rapport fishing got me and his constant encouragement I somehow mustered the patience to get all 12 rare fishies in one go. I was even shocked to learn later I had caught 233 regular fish, it didn't feel like that many. By the way, huge thanks for the new autofillet tool at the cooking station, as gutting 233 one by one would have been psychological torture (I know there's an addon for that, I just don't have it).

However, there was a very bad error in the quest "Between a rock and a whetstone". At some point an elf directs us to talk to someone at an establishment in Whiterun. I was confused but delighted by the prospect of maybe being near that town again. I thought it'd be like that DB quest that takes you deep into Black Marsh. However, the quest marker pointed to Windhelm. Somehow, someone mistook one for the other and, quite frankly, that's bad, very bad. Unfortunately, I only realized it was a mistake when I looked at my map, so I didn't take a screenshot.

This was a pretty funny goof that they obviously noticed and only half-fixed. The dialogue text still says Whiterun (which you'd think would be the easier part to fix), but they spliced in a very out-of-place-sounding "Windhelm" from the VA's reading of the next dialogue screen to spackle over the error in the spoken dialogue. I think that's the first time I've heard that sort of thing in audio, although there are a number of places in the game where the text and audio don't match.

But yes, somebody should have double-checked their Skyrim map before they let that one through. :D

I normally only use companions to get their related achievements and to get companion gear that I can sell and only tend to unlock them on one of my characters (depending on who their personality/preferences fit best with).

However, Sharp is different. Like someone else said in this thread, I’ve also considered upping his commentary from “minimal” to something more frequent because unlike all other companions his comments amuse me. I unlocked him on my Argonian Bathes-in-Sinks (named after a tiny lizard I found in my sink a few months ago) on PC/NA and his story quest was really good (even though I had to go to “the armpit of Skyrim”) and after I completed it I bought Tel Galen as a house for Sharp because it has docks where he can fish - and what could be a more fitting reward than him having his own Telvanni tower to live in?

I’d like to see more quest content with him after finishing his personal story.
