How are you preparing for Necrom?

As the Necrom expansion launches in about two weeks, how are you preparing for it?

Personally I have done the following:
-Gathered enough transmute crystals to give both my new characters two specs(one tank and one DPS).
-Got all my first 18 characters to atleast Cadwell's gold. Will do the same with the two new characters.
-Wrote down a to-do list for what I want all my characters to have, so I can unlock those things on the two new characters. (blade of woe, excavation level 7, etc.)
-Stored two of each of the rare jewelry trait items in the bank.
-Have enough riding lessons stored to reach 60-60-60 on both new characters.
-Have gathered all companion guild rank tokens I possibly could(4).
-Wrote down what type and race I want my new characters to be, including what mounts would fit them.
-Stored enough writ vouchers(or master writs to collect enough) so I can immediately get the new crafted set stations for in my houses.
-Thought of what role I want my new companions to be(one healer, other uncertain).
-Thought of which alliance my two new characters will be.
-Checked out available information on the two new companions, specifically where to find them and their major rapport likes. So I can activate them before I start the necrom zone(s)/storyline, and so I can gain rapport on one of them right away.

So, are you prepared for what is to come?

Chosen a name for a new arcanist, apart from that nothing.

I will go through the zone completely with my main. My new character will grow organically, I don't plan out their skill order etc. I've deliberately not read up on necrom, the skills of the new class etc, as i like it to be new to me (as close to playing a new chapter can be, avoiding spoilers here can be pretty tricky).

Deconstructed all my golded Plaguebreak items and switched them out for other sets as they are now useless in PvE. Stockpiled a few dozen enchanter writs because I hear my new healer likes it when you do them. Nothing else really save for parking a new archanist at the stable for a few months in case I ever want to play him.

I'm collecting Siege of Cyrodiil Merits so that I can get a piece of
    Outfit style: Gravegrasp
and saving up gold to buy acorns for the
    squirrel pet
    .

Otherwise, I don't really plan at this stage to interact with Necrom related content. They did a solid job for the most part but, it just isn't me.

I'll probably be shifting to just logging in for events post Necrom once I get the mount training done on my latest character in another ~40 days.

Word of caution, getting Sharp's 'boon' will negatively impact your account unless you plan to never fish for roe.

How much of a negative impact is hard to say, could be that is as little as +0.5% chance of landing legendary fish, or it could not work at all - like Bastian's potions - but it has the potential to be detrimental anyway.

Either way I have saved intricates - mostly jewellery - to get them going and I have a bunch of horse training books saved to give them a head start, but that's about it.

I already have 27 characters doing daily writs, I am not in a rush to add more to the roster, and not that excited about the arcanist class so far.

Maybe the class will grow on me, but chances are I won't be levelling them until the next 2XP event. Same for the companions.

I will add attunables with the new sets to the sea of crafting tables though, one last time ;)

Q3 is where the exciting things will happen \o/

Got names for Arcanists, made throwaway characters to hold onto the names. That's it. I'm not a big "prepare a lot up front" person.

I wrote down a "To Do" list for each day starting on launch day, including a day spent just racing through the main Necrom story with my Templar alt just to get the Fate Scryer costume unlocked to use on the new Arcanist character I'll be creating.

I've also gone through and done a lot of 'spring cleaning' on my armor sets, deconning a lot of older sets that I haven't used in years. Lining up ten of my alt characters to acquire the new companions just to level their guild skills.

I also took the week of 6/11 off off just to spend playing ESO; I didn't take launch week off due to how OT works with my 12/hour work schedule.

I've decided on names for my first two arcanists, and done trial-runs with each in the Character Creator to find their look and claim the names, and spent some time in front of an outfit station with both of them to settle on their styles.

Other than that, not much, yet. Just waiting to re-create them when the update drops.
There are things I do with all of my characters (earn Blade of Woe, find and open a Thieves Trove, etc.) that I will do with these two, as well.

Oh, and I've done the prologue quest with my Main.

They added a new crafted set that benefit companions so I will craft it for all 20 characters and will need to replace multiple pieces. A lot of it is jewelry so I got 56 chromium plating (all from crafting daily boxes and refining) it's still not enough, but should cover at least 5 characters. I bought 40 Hakeijo and 12 Indeko runes too.

      1. Stored up intricate items to boost crafting to the max.
      2. Have a set of gear gilded out ready to put on at CP160.
      3. 200 war tortes ready for PvP.
      4. I have around 120 instant research scrolls saved from the last two years that I will finally dump on my arcanist. Also have research items ready to go.
      5. Same with riding lessons - but I certainly don't have enough to max them day one. Maybe just 10/10/10.
      6. Should have enough master writs to boost them to around level 40 - have a level 40 set of training gear ready to go after that.

That's probably about it. All my other plans I have to wait for the chapter to arrive.

I'm building a library, with plenty of room for the new books, and a restricted section to put some fun green furnishings in.

Got some transmute crystals saved up for gear.

Got some crowns saved for undaunted and mages guild lines.

      Pretty much nothing.

I've decided the orc sorcerer character I've had in mind for a while could work as an arcanist too and that would give me a reason to actually make him. (I already have a sorcerer and don't like the class enough to want a second one.) So I've decided that when I get the chapter I'll make him, but that's about it.

I'm not in any rush to get the new character levelled up and I don't like to rush through games or force myself to stick to a pre-planned route so I'm not going to worry about the quickest or more efficient way to clear everything, I'm just going to play it as and when I feel like it.

      - Decided on the name, the race and the backstory for the arcanist. Helps me get thru the most difficult part: the character menu.
      - Got almost all of the stickerbook pieces I need for the arcanist.
      - Got XP scrolls ready.
      - Got bloodthirsty jewelries for research
      - Got enough alchemy master writs to powerlevel the arcanist after I've done enough psijic+skyshards+blue books.

Still need to collect more transmutes and get some final stickerbook pieces. Also maybe I need to get stacks from some foods and stacks of potions for the arcanist.

I recently made some other characters that I've been levelling to 50 so I can work on just the new Arcanist characters when they drop.
I've also been thinking about their loadouts and their backstories. That's all.

Not much. I have a stash of experience scrolls, alchemy/enchanting writs, horse upgrades, and some crowns to get armory slots. I'll probably do horse training and maybe some dungeon runs on the arcanist initially while I play my main through the new story. I'm just way more interested in getting my existing toons through the game than working immediately on a new toon. I will for sure play it, it's just not going to be a main priority.

      Nothing really

I already finished the main quest with the new class the first 2 days it was on the PTS.

I will speed through it again with my main character on release day and fill all the zone progress bars. After that I will mix the new content in with my weekly zone rotation probably.

I am not. Mount training means any new characters will take an obnoxiously long time to become playable in a way that does not trigger berserker rages whenever you need to move from point A to B.
