Whitestrike harvesting nodes: only for Cyrodiil+IC? and does "extra" = 2x?

"Players making use of harvesting nodes during the Whitestrike Mayhem event will loot extra resources."
1) does this only count for Cyrodiil and the Imperial City during the event?
2) is "loot extra resources" just 2x farming or does extra mean boxes or pages?
Thanks!

I don't think there are any nodes in IC or the sewers.

"Extra" means "guaranteed double-draws," which means each node you harvest is guaranteed to be equivalent to harvesting two nodes instead of just one. That does not mean you get twice as much of everything in the node, because the second draw can be totally different than the first. This is most easily seen with nodes that can contain a variety of items, such as Runestones.

If you have the CP perk that gives you a chance of getting a double draw (Plentiful Harvest), then each draw from the event's guaranteed double draw has a chance to be a double draw, resulting in the possibility of a triple ddaw or quadruple draw.

Last year they used the word "double" in the announcement. This year they used the word "extra."

    I think it's not coincidental.

    I'd be careful about that.

I've got thousands of hours in Cyrodiil, gotten almost all PvP achievements.... and yet I still occasionally harvest a few materials when the map is quiet. And I have several stories I could tell about PvPers seeing an "easy mark," and especially some funny ones about PvE mat/recipe farmers getting bold and deciding to try their luck against what they perceive to be another PvEer out harvesting. :)

They've been using extra instead of double for a while now because the word double ended up confusing people because of the scenarios SeaGtGruff mentiond.

IIRC, trove scamps drop crafting materials as well as tel var. And I believe their entire loot pool is doubled during Mayhem events.

My best result is a heavy sack up top that gave 3 hakeijo, but mostly they just give normal heavy sack materials.

yeah i thought i remember seeing heavy sacks at least on surface, but they are not common probably cause its picked clean all the time (they are less of a trap than chests for sure lol)

Should be double nodes all the time.

With great risk should come great rewards.

I would tend to agree, however, with population caps at 70-80 per alliance, having half of the people in Cyrodiil farming materials would not be productive from a PvP standpoint.

Well, fair enough then. The caps are terribly low. No wonder hardly anyone goes to Cyro these days.

In my timezone, when I can play, I don't see any locked alliances. The place is basically deserted.
