Arcanist PVP , The best support for group but sucks as a damage dealer

Idk, all the lack of self heals and survivability seems bit underwhelming in PVP scenarios. Truth is DK would melt this class just on corosive. Also Fate Carver and DPS ultimate is very easy to dodge. For now only Dot Plays seems to work in duels but for Cyrodill cant find anything good. This class seems to only work as a dd on PvE content so far

Yeah I kind of agree, it's feels very similar in terms of damage with the Templar, relying on the more over performing proc sets in order to get enough pressure to hurt players since there's zero burst damage from their respective tools. My fellow testers report the same thing regarding PvP duelling. Demolished by Dragonknights, Sorcs & Wardens with ease. Personally its not a great start for Arcanist. Needs a lot more tweaking for sure.

For me its a useless class in pvp, portals skill has 7 seconds cooldown, low dmg, no delayed burst dmg skill, ultimate and beam can be easily avoided, they re only good at tanking thanks to the op shield so for me arcanist it's a big disappointment

This is not a weak class. This is a miserable meta where you can't kill anyone with class skills. Exception nb and dk. Everyone else should rely on various proc sets. without them, you have no damage. I have seen strong Necromancers and Templars but they hit with proc sets. When you have a blastbone that deals 3500-4000 thousand damage, you want to cry.

I'd have to disagree on one point. "works as a dd on PvE content". It seems fairly underwhelming there too so far. Plenty of tuning time left.

The shields seem a little excessive. Going to be fun tanking with them, cleave, hexos ward and hatchlings shell I imagine.
