Awesome. Needing to visit a provisioning station isn't ideal but it's a vast improvement over the current system.

It is a big improvement over the current method and unlike the PC addon fixes the problem for the players on consoles. Also when you look at it the process isn't any different than how we have to visit a crafting station to refine and combine raw materials.

I'm pleased that it looks like many will enjoy the change. Makes no difference to me. My elf drops a line only enough to catch 3 or 4 fish a day to keep her cooking supplies up. Works best to just fillet on the fly for her.

I'll stick with the addon, then I can fillet stacks of fish anywhere, anytime.

there is many cooking stations in the wilderness as well, if you know where to look

I have many, many, many stacks, thousands of fish, from my run at the Master Fisher achievement sitting on my mule character.
I've been procrastinating for months because I wasn't relishing having to stand there until the 4th Age, even with the add-on, to fillet these things.

This is a much appreciated, and timely (for me, at least), addition.

Hi all, wanted to provide some additional context to the filleting fish addition. The team wanted to clear up any confusion. The Meticulous Disassembly champion star does not improve your chances of getting perfect roe when filleting a fish.

How does this affect the rng chance for Perfect Roe, I wonder?

Good question. I was thinking that myself. Considering the apparently much reduced drop rate.... it could go either way?

Probably no more than bulk refining raw materials at crafting stations affects the chance of dreugh wax, rosin or tempering alloy dropping. There was a time when we also had to do that one at a time as well.

Agreed, that may make it worth removing the addon.

Kevin addressed the filleting singly vs in stacks here:

Seems it just got swapped with the Meticulous Disassembly answer by mistake.
