Again, 90% of class skills have an animation with the disappearance of weapons...
Warden, necromancer and now arcanist is a class for me that I paid for but won't play.

    Well that's oddly specific, I guess everyone has something that they don't like, doesn't bother me personally.

    yeah it's a bit of shame that most of abilities seems to be doing that, but since I have no big hopes for animations to change this late in the pipeline, my general idea was to combine new mythic (the one with dps buus in exchange for LA/HA damage) and go for ranged playstyle with DW daggers, probably smallest daggers I can get my hands on - this way I am not going to notice much when the weapons popsout of existance in the heat of the combat....

    I just hope that we have some skills on Arcanist without those hideous animations vomiting green lights. I hope there's some more discreet skills. Everything I've seen until now about Arcanist looks like the worst thing that ever happened to Elder scrolls universe. It's utterly horrendous and extremely intrusive.

    If many people starts playing that thing and if it'll flood the game with those stupid effects it'll be for sure a strong motivation to avoid all group content in this game. At least until most players get tired of that crap and stop using Arcanist.

    The Green Triangles you get after casting an Arcanist ability should have a much much shorter lifespan. Dude folks who have a photosensitivity to flashing lights on a computer monitor could have a very serious problem with them. While I don't have the seizure disorder I do have a vision problem with light. Too much for too long and I get very blurry with double vision and have to stop playing a game for a good while before I get back to normal and no my corrective lenses do nothing for this.

    EDIT: Due to my photosensitivity issue I have stopped playing an Arcanist. The Devs are going to have to understand that most players don't want or cannot have 2 or 3 Green Triangles circling around your toon for hours after you have used the ability. Unless they remove this from the game I will not be playing an Arcanist character. Testing is done and they didn't pass.

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

    It's weird what happened with this horrendous class. it's like it was created by an inexperienced and completely different team that never played Elder scrolls before and probably only knew old bad arcade games.

    It's true that lately they have been infesting the game with loads of visual trash, specially with those ridiculous Radiant Apex Mounts and trash. But that was optional. We could always avoid those things. But now a new class with those horrendous and intrusive animations will ruin the game for sure, or at least make it way worse. I imagine that some people, live me, will quit any group with someone with that class. And I think that never happened before.

    I hope that they end up understanding how horrendous that Arcanist thing is and, at least, give us an option to disable those effects at our end. In that way those who enjoy it can go blind happily while we protect our sight. I'm really sad about this update. Due to Arcanist, for me, Update 38 will be the worst update in 9 years. :(

    This bothered me about Necro too, especially because they had them at first, and then they were taken away.

    It'd be nice if they made it an option, or at the very least, put the weapon in its sheathed spot on the character, instead of sending it to the void every skill cast
    Add a Scribing skill that works like Arcanist beam.

    Veteran players have been alienated and disengaged from Overland since One Tamriel, due to the lack of difficulty, and pushed into dungeons and trials; the minority of content in the Elder Scrolls Online. We can't take the repetition anymore, fix Overland engagement for Vet players. I don't even care if it's not combat related anymore, just make Overland engaging again.

    Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 10 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. Make a self debuff mythic. Literally anything at this point.
