Plus, I have been saving up seals of endeavors for over a year just to finally get one radiant apex mount and then I come across posts like this that make me feel like no matter the goal I strive for, there are people wanting that one taken away too. I get a little tired of people thinking the game should change for their personal aesthetics when accomplishing that for 100% of people is absolutely impossible. Sometimes, compromise or acceptance is the route and this is such a small thing that it seems pretty easy to let go to me. Kind of a "pick your battles" deal.
That being said, I 100% completely agree about "flappy" the sorc pet. When you're grouped with someone using it or using it yourself, it's there being annoying 100% of the time, not just when you're mount riding.
I reiterate that I respect your opinions on the matter. I just wanted to address my view of the scenario as it is quite different.
I always imagined Elder Scrolls being a more grounded fantasy world, as opposed to worlds like Final Fantasy and Aion /etc. that were more flashy and high fantasy.
A lot of the upper tier crown cosmetics are visual clutter and I find them personally unappealing. I even have a few apex mounts but the Roleplayer in me stopped using them because it just seemed like nonsense to be riding them.
Edit: Typo
Same here. I got the nascent indrik mount, and I'm staying with it and not getting any of its morphs, because this mount looks natural and beautiful, and needs no improvement. I've also had my vision cluttered by these excessively bright and noisy animations. These, and the constant wing-flapping of twilights, are definitely impacting my enjoyment of the game.
Maybe there could be a setting to turn down/off effects like these. That way, players who want to see the effects can, and those who don't can turn them down/off. I think this has been asked for before (by players who are adversely affected by flashing lights) and has been ignored, but now that they'll be focusing more on QoL, perhaps it can be considered.

This is kind of logic like: "if your neighbour is disco fan who makes loud, flashy parties in his home in middle of night, you can just sell home and go live in the desert".You could also craft in your home or go to a zone with nobody
I'm afraid that this won't gonna happen. From psychological point of view, most (not all, but many) radiant apex owners wants and use these mount not because they ONLY like the visuals, but mostly they want to feel more special, more premium, more distinguishued from other players. Whole reason of "boom effect" is to blow up in face of other "peasants" who can't afford this type of mounts. You can see this in real life, where most of rich people wants other people to see how rich they are. This just how most humans minds works and this thing is exploited to sell radiants, especially that this is very costly, premium product for niche players with a lot of cash. So ZOS can't implement this option, because many of these player will feel cheated, because they pay a lot of money not to see for this mount only by yourself - they need and want other to watch at them.Maybe there could be a setting to turn down/off effects like these
