Only one thing to doAlready bracing for an extension to extended maintenance, never ending login queue till we all go to sleep and extra extended maintenance in a few days.
No problem at all.
All the tickets, seals and trader wars pale in comparison with lagfree Cyro (hopefully) and smooth group PvE - totally worth waiting.
Good luck & godspeed team!

No need to get rude toward a team that has been working on this not just since 8pm last night, but something we have been working toward for quite some time now.
And as noted in the banner, our current estimate for completing maintenance is around 2pm EDT / 7pm BST. Will let you all know if it's looking like this will be wrapped up sooner.

will there be any compensation as we lose a whole day of the event?

Agree, take UTC, add your time zone add, apply summer time if needed. am and pm also confuses Khajiit, 18:00 is much more more obvious.thejadefalcon wrote: »Parrot1986 wrote: »7pm BST applies to this side of the ocean? UTC is much more easily understandable though. You only need to know your local time zone and UTC, not every other weird time zone on the planet and whether it's on daylight savings or not. The UK knows BST, countries around it likely know BST as well, but they'll for sure know UTC better. That was the point of making UTC a thing. Universal Coordinated Time. UTC is relevant to everyone by purpose. BST is UTC+1, I know this, but straight UTC would be better.
Dear zos
[snip] people have their trials, dungeons or joint trips where they reserve their time and then you have a problem [snip]

2pm EDT / 6pm UTC / 7pm BST
What a weird choice in timezones.
- UTC is Coordinated Universel Time (or Temps Universel Coordonné) and is the standardized zero.
- EDT is Eastern Daylight Time, which is the North American east coast summer time (UTC-4).
- BST is British Summer Time (UTC+1).
I'm going to assume that the EDT is for the handful of NA players who don't mind 200 ping, and UTC makes sense for those nerds out there who know how that relates to their timezone.
But I'm curious about British Summer Time. Only three countries (and some islands) in Europe use that timezone. Would Central European Summer Time (CEST) not be more appropriate, since the majority of Europe uses it? Also, using EU as shorthand for European is a bit oof, because EU is short for European Union, and some European countries are not part of the European Union.
It would be like using US as shorthand for the North Americas instead of NA, for instance. The proper abbreviation for Europe is EUR.

Edit: Fixed a typo.
