The 'Report Player' function of the ingame support is currently woefully unequipped to deal with player complaints in game.
There are currently only three options under report player:
Bad Language
NDA Violation
Other
As we are no longer under the NDA this option is not relevant to the game in its current state. while offensive language is still a problem, most reports will have to be filled under 'other', there is plenty of differentiation you can offer at this point.
Some ideas of categories that could be appropriate to add are:
Abuse/Harassment
Spamming chat
Scams
These are all listed as unacceptable behaviour under the Terms of use of Elder Scrolls Online and affected players should have the ability to quickly bring these matters to the attention of Customer support, both by giving a clearer picture of the events in question and allow players to deal with the problem quickly and move on.
Over the past 5 hours, there have been multiple accounts flooding zone chat (Daggerfall in particular) with advertisements for various sites offering ingame gold for real world payment and powerleveing to levels 20 and 50. These actions are in direct violation of section 8 of the Terms of use of Elder Scrolls Online, for the most part players bemoaned the gold farmers appearance in the game and promptly ignored those accounts. Several reports were filed, but the accounts in question are still ingame and posting messages every 10 seconds. Many other players attempted contacting customer support ingame but gave up and simply ignored the accounts.
If the ability to report players engaging in such activities as scamming and gold farming was streamlined it would prevent those unfavourable elements from gaining a foothold, which they do seems to have done in under two days of the game being available.
Apologies for the long message, but these are matters I believe should be dealt with quickly to insure a health game community.
