Gutting Nightblades Major Berserk

Hello,

I'm not usually one to speak out about changes that "may" be done, but I felt the need to say something in this case. Major Berserk, the buff that seems to be available to everyone now, is the end of what I feel is Nightbalde's individuality when is comes to this buff, Major Berserk. Until this point, this buff has only achievable with through armor sets (https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Buffs), werewolves, sorcerer ultimate, and Nightblades "reaper's mark". Essentially, a buff that Nightblades have to jump through hoops to get, is being made available for other classes and through weapon abilities for "free". I understand that "Reaper's Mark" also heals the Nightblade to full "once the enemy is killed", but with the changes to DK Chains and Wrecking Blow, shouldn't reaper's mark give major berserk for casting the ability, to keep inline with DK chains and Wrecking Blow? The heal should be a bonus to killing the enemy, as it is now.

Cheers,
Shadowkyuubi

I don't care about the Two-Hander and DK changes but I sort of feel like Reaper's Mark is the most pointless of the Nightblade abilities in that it is geared toward PvE but has 0 utility in any boss fight beyond the Major Breach which is easily sourced from Weakness to Elements or better yet Razor Caltrops. Mark Target may heal to full but that's again not going to happen on long engagements like bosses, so the recently added magicka cost is just a nerf for no reason. If there was some additional effect added to Mark Target then the magicka cost would be justified. Personally I'd like to see Mark Target and its morphs apply minor brittle since that would have useful applications across the board and it would be thematically in line with the critical granted via Pressure Points for slotting it.

I'm trying not to have a kneejerk reaction. Is this a PvE complaint, specifically?

From a PvP standpoint I don't really like them making major berserk so accessible either, but I can't help but chuckle a little to hear a complaint from a NB.

Nightblades already have major berserk, plus a "double major berserk" in their ultimate, plus "unnamed major berserk," whenever major expedition or invisibility ends. I just can't feel like they're missing out on anything. If they had any more stackable percent modifiers they'd split into two people instead of one.

PVE player here. This does almost nothing since the uptime on major berserk through reaper's mark was terrible. You'd might as well use a set as you mentioned to get it more reliably. In a boss fight with no ads, it was absolutely useless.

If Reaper's Mark was a nightblade exclusive way to get an AOE major berserk buff to the party, then I'd say making it easier to get for other classes through other skills might step on NB's toes. But it doesn't do that.

Although Reaper's Mark provides a very rare and powerful buff Major Berserk, I've hardly ever seen players use it because of its harsh trigger conditions. Also, when players slot the skill it is more for its Major Breach than Major Berserk.

After u37, Reaper's Mark looks even more useless compared to other skills that provide Major Berserk easily. Maybe it needs to be evaluated and reworked again to fit the current game environment

I've never used reapers mark. Its a waste of time for me. I don't have it but that's hy people wear sea serpents and I use caltrops for breach.

You can get more accessible Major Berserk, sure, just give up your unique unnamed 10% Damage Buff and put it on that skill instead.

NB is one of the most overpowerd classes in the game already - only after DK and (maybe sill) Warden. You don't need buffs.

NB does not need easy access to major berserk (outside of using arguably the strongest mythic in sea-serpents).

The class already has an unnamed buff on its spammable that is essentially permanently up that is equal to major berserk that also stacks with both berserk buffs as well.
It doesn't also need easy in class access to major berserk on top of that unique buff, not to mention incap that provides essentially double major vulnerability on the target that stacks with both of the vulnerability debuffs.

An ability that most NBs I see don't run, is an identity?
