Having worked in customer service, giving guaranteed delivery dates is a big no-no, especially if there are uncertain factors like testing. As annoying as vague or minimal answers are, they wind up aggravating people way less than missing a stated delivery date.

If this is really a bug, what happened several days before? ( the crown crates can be gifted again for a short time)

Legit, I'm pretty sure that if they just said something like "This is really complicated and we have no idea how long it will take to fix. We can't give you a firm timeline, but once a stable solution is in place, we will cycle through all of the crown crates that left the store during the course of the bug for a few days each" , this thread would be roughly two pages long

That would be nice, but it's never going to happen. My friend and I have a bet going that it's going to be re-enabled either when the ragebound crates leave or when the expansion drops. If it's at the same time though, we both win lol.
