Not really clear from your message but if this is related to log in from another IP address there have been loads of threads on this in the last week and last few days even. You may have entered the wrong password. For some reason the code message sometimes seems to be a system error and no code will be sent. Try your password again.

I support your post and want only add that I got legit access code when I turned off OC of CPU in the bios so It is any HW changes related too. So maybe ACESsiggy changed something in the PC?

It's a security measure that the game uses to keep your account safe. Well, I know it may seem annoying but maybe something has changed and you just haven't realized it.

Your ip could of changed unknownly. There's other things but know it's only their to keep account safe.

Its an new and weird bug, it you type the password wrong you do not get an wrong password message but an access code message. Note you does not get an access code if password is wrong.

Unsure if access code still work as intended.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I got an access code some time ago after replacing an hard drive but that was before this bug became common.

If this is the BUG... then all you do is close the access code request window and log on as usual.

What I've done the 1 or 2 times I've seen this is quit the game and restart it. I can then login without any problems. There is some type of a bug but I couldn't tell you if it just an incorrect error message or a timing condition causing it.

Your access gets reset when you change a major hardware feature on your pc, including changing your: cpu, ram, storage drive, motherboard, gpu, and sometimes RAM

It seems to trigger sometimes if you change some settings in BIOS.

It triggers if you do a major software change like upgrade windows 10 to 11, or change where eso is installed on your computer.

It triggers when you connect using a new internet connection.

Yeah. I just fully upgraded my very antique win 10 to 22h2, and had to get a code on all 3 accounts, both PC megaservers. Painful. They did get the codes right out at least.

Yes I just deactivated undervolt and hard oc of my ryzen and got the access code.
Btw even ISP when you paid public static IP can change it after some years. I had one IP about 10 years. After time they changed pool and i got new IP without any information.

Given that a mod has contributed to this thread and left the title unedited, can we assume that avoiding the profanity filter is no longer considered to be against the forum rules  ?

Thinking that's profanity is like thinking all caps is too loud.

Anyway, it's being triggered by mistyping your password.

When I saw that title I did my best not to click on the forum post, but in the end I couldn’t resist because I had to see what was wrong 😂

EDIT: I promised myself I’d do better next time!

EDIT: I promised myself I’d do better next time!

I am thinking the same thing now since I actually decided to read through the whole discussion. 🙃.

I first thought a few days ago when this got posted that the title meant "Where's The Food". Then when I read the post it's about an access code error.

This discussion should be in tech support forums and also submit a ticket to customer support.

Some times, it just triggers and if you cancel and try again it doesn't ask again.

I did the same, first time I got this I know it was not an access code as I exited the game, then remembered I had to to check something and restarted, this gave this message. I did not know it was an bug instead of the incorrect password message.

More remarkable is that this bug who should be incredible easy to fix has not been fixed over multiple updates.
