Gampad Controller issues

Hey.
Since update there appear to be issues with gampad controller use. Issues range from movement issues, to just not working at all. Intermittent. Lots of fiddling around and restarting gets it to work now and then, but then make a change like a race change, and again you cannot move.
It is similar to the wayshrine movement bug on live server, where occasionally after traveling to a wayshrine, you can no longer move or use any buttons (still not fixed).
I have used 2 controllers and tested them with other games and they both work fine, it is just in PTS and since the patch.
Can anyone else confirm they are having issues?
I see something in patch notes shows a change to Gampad use... I wonder if this has caused the issue
