Necro DPS is going to stay trash

Another patch where necro is trash yep, none of the problems of the class have been addressed and it even got nerfed. It's got one of the hardest rotations in the game with extremely problematic skills and it doesn't reward you at all for managing to deal with it be it, bet it PvE where it gets outshined in AOE by DKs and templars and in single by pretty much every other class excluding maybe warden, truly as it is it's not good for anything besides being the groups buff bot and if that wasn't bad enough it's also terrible to play when performing that role... oh right PvP, yeah it garbage there too the clowniest of clown classes in PvP.

I would assume the Necromancer will get a boost after the Arcanist hits live.

It appears that the Arcanist might have some similarities to the Necromancer's design with the Crux vs Corpses. As a result, what was learned from the development of the Arcanist as well as from how players use it could be used to benefit the Necromancer.

I would assume the developers at least somewhat like the Necromancer as the Arcanist appears to be following it's footsteps somewhat and you wouldn't take that approach if you didn't like the direction the Necromancer went in.

hmm I do love my cro, it's my main but I've been playing it less and less since U35(and it was showing problems even before then), so much so that I haven't raided with it at all since U36 launched.

Some of the issues with the class have been there since launch so it doesn't fill me with confidence that they will fix them, to be honest I just want some buffs so that the class can at least have as much cleave as DKs, I don't ever expect the class to be particularly amazing in pure single target fights as I don't think it was ever intended to be but come on...

It needs to be good at something, even as a buff bot it's mostly just sets that most classes can just pick up and use, the class doesn't have a buff it can give any longer with major vuln having been made readily available through sets, as a tank it can be useful for survivability but again no buffs.

DKs have 3 unique buffs to the class it's just ridiculous.

Crux mechanics will be a lot simpler than corpse mechanics and will not be limiting in different scenarios like corpse-based skills are.

Crux stacks on your character, at least based on the teaser video, so no penalities in high movement fights. Skills won't be completely uselss in pvp like the Necro siphon skill, and so on.

In PVE templars outshine nothing, they are garbage Dds, unused healers (warden, necro and nightblade are way better) and pretty useless tanks

That last part of the video about the "easiest" swashbuckler supreme setup with only dk dd's and some others as support dd's made me chuckle a little. ^_^

Well at least Necro's are bis tanks, thats something.

have you seen the video? This guy (I know who he is) basically confirm what I wrote in my post. Templar dd is just good for jesus beam and one sinergy, nothing more. Templar tank is bad. Templar healer is "niche", outperformed by warden, necro and nightblade.

I'm not going to start a pointless argument over your selective hearing/seeing. Templar sweeps/jabs has some of the best cleave damage in the game, the class toolkit allows it to use tri-stat potions something only it and DK can do effectively, it has great burst one of the best in the game in fact if not THE best, among many other things if you don't understand the class that is not my problem nor should I be forced to teach you, go look it up yourself.

Yeah let me give up a massive 35% self heal on jabs to get major sorcery. Oh and who needs camo hunter which is a fantastic skill when you have a low dps dot like sun fire to give yourself major prophecy amirite?

are you perhaps talking about PvP? because this is about PvE, I understand PvP mains are angry that templar is weaker than it once was but this is not the thread for it mmmmkay?



... templar is still better than necro in pvp btw.
