I'm not against one morph being a traditional execute
But one should keep the delayed burst aspect. It's big for mag sorc killing potential in PvP. I've tried without it, as some people aren't convinced by it, but I personally notice a huge difference in sealing kills.
plar's radiant oppression is miles ahead of mages fury, 480% base scaling, base damage equal to a spammable, same range as fury and choose either even more scaling (500%) or heals you while channeling for 20% of the damage dealt.
It has also been bugged in recent patches to front load all of its damage in lag meaning you could cast, block cancel and recast to proc it twice for a guaranteed kill on anyone at or below 50% HP.
fury is unique as a range execute, but it is definitely not the strongest in the game, not even close.
... It is probably the best ranged execute in the game....
Mages Fury needs to scale dynamically with enemy health up to a bonus damage increase of 300% or 400%.
The limited bar space of Sorcerers can still balance this new power level.
That whole under 20% bonus damage nonsense disqualifies it for anything but bashing beginners in PvP. And only if they have enough health and mitigation to actually be still alive in that health range.
This has been ignored for so long.
