Disposing of toys

I keep finding toys. I don't want them but they clutter up my inventory. There seems to be no way to filter on toys so that I can dispose of them quickly. Anyone know of a setting or add-on to make it easy to get rid of them (or better still not pick them up in the first place)?

Do you mean treasures named as toys? If so I just sell them when I sell the other treasure

No, there are items which are labelled Toys, like the hobby horse. They can't be sold.

This is the kind of thread that could get me banned with my gutter sense of humor,

so I'll just attempt a façade of innocence and say you might be able to right click and mark them as trash so that any future instances of that particular item end up in a single inventory tab.

Are they stolen? Then normal sellers don't want them. You have to go to an outlaws refuge.

Can you post a screenshot? If it is meant to be vendor trash but can't be sold, that could be a bug.

you mean the mount hobby horse? They won't be in your inventory. The only other type things I can think of are stolen goods that may be labelled as toys, cosmetics etc. You sell them in an outlaws refuge

I'm sure they can be sold or they're labeled as stolen and need to be sold at a fence or laundered (but just sell at a fence).

(Assuming you're on PC)

There's an addon called Dustman that can automatically delete/sell a bunch of different items and contraband based on your preferences. You can set it to mark treasures and known recipes as junk, delete white stolen items, auto-sell all junk and ornate items when talking to vendors... it's made emptying a full inventory between dungeons painless and fencing runs require a lot less micromanagement.

OK, this is what I mean by toys. They cannot be sold anywhere, nor fenced. There is no filter in inventory which will isolate them. You have to delete each occurence individually.

New Life loot. These annoy me, too. Either quick slot and use them to put on a show or delete them.

Ah, these event things. You can either use them or (potentially) sell them through guild stores - although I think that there aren't many people interested in them. Other than that, you can only destroy them, yes.

New LIfe festival event things. Just delete them if you dont want it... You can buy at guild traders runebox for mementos of this "Toys"

Oh those things. I think they're basically consumable emotes/mementos. I've never used one.

Thanks guys. I've a number on several chars and I could not for the life of me remember where they had come from. I'f they are not going to keep springing out on me I'll just scrub them and put it down to experience.

Just as a heads up, there's a fair number of similar junk items that typically go along with the jesters festival, so clearing your inventory tends to be a long term ongoing thing.

iirc jesters festival ones are fun to use though and do not keep you locked in an animation like the new life ones. ll those new life ones you get a runebox momento for too.
