I know i repeat this opinion but I don't entirely mind that there are few wayshrines in N. Elseweyr, however I do think that respawn points should be closer to dragon spawn areas so when people die to the dragons it isn't a long walk back. It's unfortunate that respawn points and wayshrines are one and the same in this respect.

In N. Elseweyr, the dragons always go to the same areas , whereas in S. Elseweyr they go to one of like 4 or 5 spots. One thing they could do is up the spawn rate in N. Elseweyr, especially for this event, however it just takes 5-10 minutes to do them all (depending on when they spawn and if you get 3 in a row or not).

Uhm, you are aware that you can respawn on the spot you died as long as you have a full soul gem in your inventory?

No the dragons in N Elsweyr has multiple landing spots. The northern one has on an flat spot east of wayskrine, just to the south and far south over an cliff. Know the southern dragon also has multiple sports.
Yes they spread out more in southern and the map is much smaller so it feel like they land totally different places.
The main issue in northern is the long ride to the southern and western dragon.

But the weird part here is: are people not respawning with soulgems? Newer respawn at wayshrine unless I wanted to port out anyway. You always respawn at wayshrines overland, in dungeons you respawn at the start unless you res with soulgems
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Where I would place extra wayshrines in Northern Elsweyr:

Three: each at the center of one of the dragon landing sites.
Two on the southern most road leading from west to east, to be precise one just east of the moon gate and one right above the house.
One at the western road, placed just west of cicatrice.
One placed just below the prowl, at the side of the road.
Two at the eastern road, one near the tangle and the other east of anequina aquaduct.
One at the entrance to orcrest, and another at the most northern tip of orcrest next to that road.
One in the middle of the northern road leading from the west to the city.
And one next to the entrance to the rimmen public dungeon.

At the very minimum I would want a wayshrine in the middle of the northern road, the middle of the southern road, in the middle of the eastern road, one at each of the dragon landing sites, and one in front of orcrest. And that is the minimum I would want to make the area more accessible.

Northern Elsweyr is very large(which I love) and has many cliffs, which makes the zone one of the hardest to travel around in.

I’d be happy if the spawn rates were increased. Ideally, they should be like Dolmens such that there is always one coming in if there isn’t one already on the ground, at least during the event. Yesterday, I had fully intended to murder Dragons all night long, but after spending so much time re-zoning trying to FIND Dragons that had
    Spawned
Somewhere I could reach before they were killed
In the zone I needed to progress the daily quests

I was sufficiently frustrated and bored I called it quits as soon as the quests were done.

I hadn't considered that as I'm more into PVP and just do events for tickets. It was already turning me off before the event enough so that I don't even have the patience to log in other toons and get more of the dragon dailies just go finish the achievment.

Hi All, thanks for your feedback here. We'll pass this thread along to the dev team as some of the early feedback for the event.

@Tenthirty2, thanks for the additional insight from your time in-game yesterday. That perspective is helpful to give context. Appreciate it.

It is nice that you forwarded this problem. This is something that we have brought up each time there is an event in Northern Elsweyr. In fact as I recall the reason Southern Elsweyr had faster spawn rates when it was released was from player complaints about the Northern dragons. So thanks for forwarding this problem hopefully we will see some positive action this time.

To the OP: I don't bother with the dragons in Northern Elsweyr. Instead to get my ticket I run the daily delve or world boss quest which I can finish in less time than it takes for a single dragon to spawn. If I want or need dragon kills I go to Southern Elsweyr where they spawn more frequently and are more convenient to get to from wayshrines.

Thank you, yes I normally don't hunt Dragons. I'm working on the do 30 daily quests for the Dragon daily NPC quest giver. I'd been doing one quest a day for about ten days before the event, had no idea this event was coming up. It was a shock to realise more people made it even more difficult. I can barely reach the spawn points before they are killed and then there is the wait time.

One poster was spot on also, I can't imagine being a new player with a slow mount in this event. It must be even more frustrating. I do appreciate the events though, it's a nice change of pace from the daily things I do for fun ingame.

Some people use soulgems, others use wayshrines or wait for rezzes. Not everyone has 200+ soul gems on them at any time. For dungeons/trials people should also be using soulgems with our current system, but respawn points should honestly be closer to encounters rather than at the beginning of the trial.
