Installer cannot be run

Whenever I try to run the installer downloaded from the account page, it goes a little while, and then says that multiple launchers are not allowed, and the installer cannot be run.
That is fair enough I figure, problem is; there is no second installer. I used to have one for the beta, but I made sure to uninstall and delete everything that had anything to do with zenimax and/or elder scrolls online.
Is there some hidden corner of my PC from which it haunts me? Or is it some other issue that can be fixed. Please answer at earliest convience, cause I would sure like to play this game!
