Launcher issue

Hi,
Not really sure if this has happened for anyone else, however my launcher appears to be having an issue. About halfway through my play session yesterday the game crashed. When I re-opened the launcher, I noticed that the "Play" button has completely vanished, giving me no option to open the game from the launcher.
The only way I have managed to circumvent this for the time being is by accessing the game .exe file directly, booting the game without the launcher.
Is there a way to repair the launcher without having to re install the entire game?
