Booted to the logon screen from Cyrodiil (happens multiple times a night) and now for whatever reason I get the pop up window with the message this computer is not authorized. Of course I have not received any email and no it is not in the spam folder. Is this the result of terrible Cyrodiil performance or some other marvelous bug?

I have the same. Logged with a Mac, login was very slow tonight, took 5 minutes or so.

Seems to be related to this, although this description is more interpretation than facts:

I'm wondering if it has to do with the latest maintenance on the account system.

I did a new attempt and I logged in without any trouble. I didn’t get any mail, and no code was needed.

Thanks! It was scary, since I did not want to be locked out of my account for 24 hours, but I ended up clicking cancel, entering password, and was able to log in without the prompt this time.

@ZOS_Kevin - on the page you linked to, I followed a link to this one:

    https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8724

It says: "If you cannot locate the email containing the code, you should wait 10 minutes and then try having a new access code sent. "

However, the message that pops up when you try to log in (the "This computer is not authorized...") says that if "you cannot find the email, please try again in.. " then there is a 24 hour counter. It is really not clear whether clicking cancel locks your account for 24 hours? Whether you need to keep this screen open? What if the email arrives 20 minutes later and closed it? Etc. And the messaging in the link only adds to confusion. Please consider clarify one, the other, or both, so players are not confused when in this situation.

We had this on my daughter's computer the day of the account maintainance, it's a p.i.t.a. as she is autistic and this sort of thing really upsets her.

Solved it in the end by logging into her account (which they DO send the email for). Shutting down and rebooting. Then we were able to log into the client. The Client access email has never arrived (or for me when its happened to me).

Made for an unwanted stressful evening that's for sure.

There seems to be a new bug where that pop-up is seen inappropriately if you enter your password incorrectly just once.

Yesterday I had cap locks on and didn't notice the warning and I got that message. It also never sent me the verification code (it still hasn't and it's now over 24 hours later.)

But all I needed to do was ESC out of the verification code pop-up, turn off caps lock, and then log in as if nothing had happened.

I did this to myself this morning - not enough coffee, space cadetism - one account name other account pw. I waited a few, logged into the third account, then back to the one I blew the pw on, and logged right in that time. I remembered seeing a thread about this stuff on the PC Tech Support forum where one of the posters listed this as one of the times you get that "not exactly correct" popup.

These login and authorization issues have since been resolved. For this reason we will be closing the thread from further posts.
