I bought it anyway even though it's messed up. I guess my wood elf is just going to have a big butt on her little frame unless it gets changed. :D

Since clothing sizing is auto-adjusted to fit the characters frame to some degree I tried a test.
Khajiit has only known a soft life and is only just beginning nightblade training.

But for the purposes of this test:

FRONT: (Yes, strength training can only benefit this one.)

It looks like they have just deformed the mesh / 3d model of the skirt to make it shorter, so the whole thing is distorted.

It looks more like an issue with transition between different body weights.

Had a look at this costume in game. It's pretty nice, if you aren't looking at it side on. If i knew they would actually fix the issue, i'd buy it.

They haven't acknowledged that it's an issue, so we have to assume that they like is as it is, and is working as intended.

If working as intended means that people are still buying it regardless of it being improperly coded, then i suppose so.

That's often an issue with costumes and styles, but this issue happen to all female characters no matter body weight or shape.

At least one designer signed off on it, it passed at least one QA check, and one would assume that management and Crown Store department OK’d it as well.

Kind of weird none of the devs noticed it before putting it in the store?

It actually looks kinda yummy on my little dark elf, who was a bit scrawny before donning the Curves of Rimmen wear.

It does seem rather biased that only female characters have access to the posterior/maternity enhancements, since male characters are locked out from these effects. It did make me wonder, though, about the upcoming new system, as children in Tamriel has been one of the ‘most requested features.’ Could this possibly be a foreshadowing of things to come?

I really, really hope that's a joke, I couldn't possibly facepalm any harder. These theories are way out of control.

There is an Altmer jacket from the base game that had the same bug when my (male) main wore it. I assumed it was because he was too skinny for it and just chose a different one. Not sure if that jacket was ever fixed - if you want your male character to walk around with a fake pregnancy belly, feel free to try it.

It must be. I don't think anyone seriously believes that children would be a most requested feature in ESO.

Well there are crib furnishings and other references to children in the game. And I’ve definitely seen threads here asking where the children are. And considering that ZOS pulled a surprise card game out of thin air, you can never say never.

Another often requested feature is the option to delete floating shoulder and hip pads. Perhaps ZOS will finally give in and allow it, but instead replace them with the new floating skirts instead.

I've seen people saying that it's strange to have cribs but no children everywhere, but that doesn't automatically make children npcs a "most requested feature", not even a requested feature. And while ZOS can introduce everything they think would bright them customers/revenue, I don't think children are on their priority list.

Only if will they make some overhaul of pledge of mara. When you can "marry" other's player character and you will get "wedding" ring, what about, you use scroll at Mara's shrine, you will get ring and after some days BAM! Child as companion and house guest XD and as a companion to have, for example, daily quests like, play with me, give me present etc... Something like in the Skyrim's Heartfire XD

I got it for my dark elf, she's pretty thin and it just adds a little bit in the posterior area. However, I haven't tried it on my characters that already have a bit there, and the transition from any other angle to the side is disconcerting. Definitely not ideal and it would be nice if it were fixed.

I took one look at my Breton character and yeah... I passed. If they go back and fix it, it wasn't a bad design. Its almost like they accidentally put the male character model for the female.

    Totaly agree with that.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_Kevin ... Can we ask you to say that we would like to see this dress fixes to the devs please? We thank you.

Yeah! U35 Costume and Housing Q&A when?

    (Being facetious... mostly).

Maybe there will be something to address player sentiment about the Rimmen Fountain-side Loungewear….. but I wouldn’t get my hopes up too much.

Wait a few months and they'll come out with a post on their costuming core values.
