Game UK cancelling orders

It's the second time Game Uk cancels my order without proper explanation.
I ordered the imperial edition pc version retail in february and I received a cancellation two weeks after that. My bank account is healthy, so no payment problems are involved. When I asked for an explanation they said me in their third email (because I had to ask for an explanation three times) they had a technical problem.

I did the order again and this time the thing seemed serious until today.
Just a few minutes ago I receive the cancellation of an order of mid february.
Now they say they don't do overseas of more than 1kg. And I receive this response on 31 march, one month and a half later!

This means I'm not getting this edition and all my hopes of getting it are lost because of the bad managing of this shop.

I've asked for a shipping arrangement and I've not received a response. I don't know what more I can do. In my country all imperial editions are sold.

This is an issue that constantly happens with Game (UK) pre-orders. They probably wont get a big enough allocation so they cancel pre-orders. Game (UK) are a terrible company and it's no surprise they go into administration what feels like every year.

It shouldn't appear as a center to buy because I followed the linkie from the preorder page in here. I was fortunate enough they didn't take my money.
As a company they're failing a lot doing this. This is not a professional behaviour.

    I was lucky, I found a preorder on Amazon France : D
This time I made sure they had no problems with shippings and all seems all right.

Yes, I've just had this same problem, which I feel is absolutely disgusting customer treatment, to notify someone just 5 days before the official release that their Imperial Edition is being cancelled is beyond ridiculous. I was hoping there'd have been an Amazon version to pre-order in the UK when I initially looked to order it, but since it was exclusive to Game and Gamestop I just went with game.

I read about this from another customer of thier a few weeks ago. If you ordered the physical version they were cancelling orders due to the wieght of the package and it would cost too much to send it. So they jsut cancelled the order. Horrible service in my opinion. They claimed they didnt notice the wieght when setting up the purchases and now that they know about it were cancelling all the orders.

Both Game and Gamestop don't want to sell overseas. And we're talking about a delivery to Spain, we're not that far and I offered them to afford the delivery. Even with that they were firm in their cancellation. I ordered in Game because I had no official link for Spain from the preorder page. What else could I do?

If you want to preorder from Spain this is the message you receive:
"Please contact your local retailer to pre-order ESO".

Ok, my local retailers don't even know what Eso is, because I live in a little village. When I talked to big retailers of my country, some didn't know if they were going to had Eso until release day, then, how to preorder?

Another retailer had the imperial retailer pc edition sold off and well, I ended in Game and their service is far from being professional. My question is, why didn't we had a preferred spanish retailer linked from here?

With the EU common market isn't that illegal to refuse to sell to another EU member state?

Be thankful dude. This company can't solve anything. If you preordered, you would have missed out on your early access due to login issues and terrible customer service.

    I don't see why.

Retailers aren't forced to sell to ANYONE at all, whether a 'local' or a 'foreigner', the process of selling something is someone offers an item for sale and someone else offers to buy it .. the seller is under no obligation to accept that offer.

EU regulations deal with ensuring fairness and a 'level playing field' when it comes to creating and adhering to contracts, sales contracts being one of course, but that only exists once a sale is agreed.

So, IANAL but it seems to me there can't be an EU regulation that demands a seller sell to anyone, the EU only ensures that all customers are treated equally.

I received an email from Game Uk yesterday offering me to do an exception with me. If I had that message before instead of two cancellations I would have accepted gladly. Reconsidering and offering me to be able to do the purchase says good from them, but they were late : /

I was in the same boat as you guys, I'm in Australia and I wanted the Imperial retail edition. They canceled my order twice and then send me this:

    Hi Josh,

We recently wrote to you explaining that due to the weight of this product we unfortunately could not process your order for delivery outside the UK.

We have worked closely with our courier partner and can now offer this product for delivery to your address for the additional cost of 35 GBP. If you would like to place a new order please click on the following link

    www.game.co.uk/en/the-elder-scrolls-online-imperial-edition-international-shipping-only-290434/?cm_mmc=game-_-CustomerService-_-ElderScrollsOnline-_-ImperialInternational

You will receive a DHL tracking number when your order is dispatched and please allow up to 5 working days for your order to arrive.

    SERIOUSLY?

No he's right, they cannot refuse to sell to you because you live in a different EU country, unless the reason is valid and just, not just you living in another EU country (shipping maybe?). You can read about it here: http://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/shopping/shopping-abroad/buying-services/index_en.htm

I have never heard of anyone being refused as a customer, unless it's a competition or fair trade issue (selling lottery tickets to an employee of the lottery) I'm pretty sure it would open up a business to litigation and bad press that would absolutely not be desired.

Man, the same email I received.

They wanted to charge me the same amount for my shipment from Uk to Spain.
I can't believe they charge exactly the same for a shipment to Australia!
I paid 8 euro for the shipment from France to Spain, see the difference <.<
    (35gbp = 42,25 euro).
