The Racer (AD Quest) bugged

This quest has been bugged since beta. It is exactly the same as beta, the race simply will not start. I have done all that I can on my end to get it to work, from logging, to abandoning. This has been the case since yesterday noonish.

Hi there, @Xael. When feeding your frog, be sure not to overfeed him. If he's too full, he may not hop. We'd also suggest trying to wait a few minutes by the basket after putting the frog down. The race announcer will begin the race, but it won't actually start if you move too far away.

If you're still encountering the issue, try to leave, complete other quests, and come back to the race. Let us know if this helped!

Ok, this was an issue in the beta. I know about the overfeeding, thats not the issue. There is no icon to even use the basket half the time. There are crowds of people having the same issue. The racer never comes out to begin the race, I have waited up to about 45 minutes. I have completed something like 75% of the quests on this island already and I keep coming back and nothing has changed. Hence my posting.

So no, what you posted does not help, sorry. Please reset it.

Also having this issue, even tried abandoning the quest and starting over. Fed the frog until he was full, could even place it in the basket; the frog immediately appears before its basket, yet the other frogs never do, and nothing ever happens.

The funny thing is, I did this quest once in the beta and then it worked fine. Why can't it be the other way round? XD

Broken, no icon for putting the frog in the basket. Cannot start race.

I was able to put the frog in the basket, but don't have the option to feed it. Thus he just sits there and the race never starts.

After today's emergency maintenance, I could complete the quest, after a minute or so the announcer started the race and my frog won.

This quest seems like it only works if one player is trying to complete it. If multiple players are trying to complete it that is when it seems to hang up and stop working. Very similar situation to the AD quest in Auridon where you are assisting the queen by helping two priestesses perform a ritual. One of the scripts for the priestess gets stuck when there are multiple players in the vicinity.

A friend of mine just tried to do this quest, broken again.

Took me about 10 relogs to find an instance where this quest works. Just log out and check your frogs food and listen for "step up, step up the race is about to start."

Thats just coincidence. That means the quest is temporarily fixed. It will bug out again just like other quests.

You guys keep parroting the urban legend that logging out or clearing an area resets quests. In some cases logging can unglitch stuff (daedra portals, etc). But the quests such as Harsh Lessons, The Racer, etc, do not fix by logging, clearing an area, counting to 100 while standing on one leg... this is all mysticism.

Quest is still bugged, I have forgotten how many times I have re-logged or abandoned the quest to try and get lucky. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
