My Kingdom for an “open all containers” button

I do daily crafting writs on 50 toons, and save the boxes to open for the weekend.

I spend probably 6-8hours a week just opening the boxes.

Could you maybe notate a request for such? I would appreciate it 😁

I don't know if you play on PC at all but if you do, like a lot of things, there is an addon for that. It would be a nice thing to have built into the game itself though.

How is that possible?

50 characters X 7 boxes each = 350 boxes
350 boxes X 7 days = 2450 boxes

Isn't daily writs in a mmo bit unusual choice for a career? Seriously I myself find easier to do things without letting em pile up but I can see why one would not want to do it in your case.

That's how I make most of my gold, but I only do them on 4 characters and am done in 15 to 20 minutes.

I think a high level character gets about 5000 gold per day for doing all 7 crafting dailies? That's 35.000 a week per character. Or 1,75 millions per week with 50. Plus crafting materials. That's not bad. And truly effective, if you could open all 49 boxes on a character at once at the end of the week. Personally, I think I'd still be too lazy for that though. Not even because of the crafting, but because logging in and off with several dozens of characters seems quite a hassle.

WOW! That's a lot of characters! That's quite the dedication. I don't run that many but it would be nice to have a open all button. I'd also like a filet all button for fish.

Ps5 makes it easy, load screens are less than 10 seconds.

I feel like the same would apply though for say anniversary jubilee boxes, or rewards if the worthy. Can’t say how many times I’ve spent the day in Cyrodiil only to have 40 rewards of the worthy boxes to open 😂

It’s just one of the most tedious things left in inventory management

On the one hand, that sounds really inconvenient.

On the other hand, I'm not really sure it's good for the game to encourage people to do more 50 chars worth of writs.

This is why we can't get basic functionality like this on console. PC already has it through mods and the devs cant be bothered coding it themselves for console players.

to be fair, when the addon code breaks they also don't have to worry about fixing it. this still doesn't explain why there's not an add-on community area for xbox/psn where players can enable or disable them.

You think "printing" several billion new gold into the economy every week might cause some problems?

I spent the first year I played crafting on 36 characters. And then I had enough gold to not worry about it any more. So now I just craft on a few.

The whole thing for me was - I had almost no gold in other games a year into those games, which meant not much fun. Was not going to happen here. And didn't.

Yes. Well kinda. I pick them up one day, and then the day befores and that days all at once. I also pre make all the stuff for the week, so I just have to pick up the quests and turn them in.

Opening the boxes takes longer than premaking all the things.

Eh, not really. I first read it in a book of "Mother Goose Rhymes" when I was about 4 - so 70 years ago or so. I don't know how old it is or the original author of the riddle; I'm a cat person, so I've remembered it all my life since.
