Can you please make an effort to fix it at least Monday? Nobody can do Trials or Dungeons because of this.

It's time they make another guar pet in about 5 mins to gift as an apology. I wish they gifted one guar pet for every major bug they introduced so we could have a really cool collection.

Actually the first recent block bug lasted 5 weeks. Now we're looking at another 2 weeks, assuming it's fixed in two weeks.

I doubt it's just stadia. You can't just throw a quick fix into a production environment. You have to do a lot of testing - including end to end testing and volume testing, otherwise a quick fix will just break something else. And if they do find issues during testing, then they have to go back and resolve that issue and start testing again. These things take time.

It's not as catastrophic as you make it appear. There's a distinct sequence of events that can trigger the bug but once you are in combat it's not likely to happen. I did trials for hours last night as cloudrest tank and it never happened. Have your entire group confirm that they can block and have weapons unsheathed before pull and you will be fine.

It would help if.... nevermind, it won't matter

No comment... which should say plenty.

Pretty certain that they just let the players do the testing. We are the QA.

La from sheathed weapon or while mounted immediately followed by bar swap is just the easiest way to reproduce the issue. Apparently there are other ways to bar swap into block disabled. Which may or may not include la weaving. I myself am not twitchy enough to test those.

If you are block disabled state in area where mount is allowed, la while monted and sprinting shoould fix it.

If ZOS "did alot of testing" they wouldnt be introducing game breaking bugs into every patch

And the worst part is, this was supposedly all ready to be released 3+ weeks ago and they were just waiting on certification. They literally did zero testing for 3 weeks.

I would be more inclined to agree with this... if they didn't already do this for basically every patch (including Monday's patch).

Does a QA process even exist for this game? Because more and more it appears as though it does not.

I think they tested it and thought that it was fine. Someone pressed block, it worked and that was it.

To be honest, what they should do is make a shield pet in the same vein as the snow buddy - you summon it, it floats beside you for a second, then drops to the group. That would be a worthy apology pet.

The fact that the block bug, which is worse than the previous iteration, was reported and prevalent, at the same time that news outlets report on ZOS's QA devs unionization efforts is really badly timed optically speaking, though I empathize with their efforts.

Gaming and animation devs have a long history of being exploited with long hours and low pay.

    Hi there,

We are going to close this thread down because there is a thread already discussing the Block Bug. To keep all of the feedback consolidated into one place, you may continue the discussion here.

    Thank you for your understanding.
