[PC-keyboard vs gamepad] Which interface do you prefer?

I'm gamepad player.

I use a gamepad, but it's not a matter of preference.

Frankly, I'd rather use the mouse and keyboard. A lot of the actions in the game, including during combat, are more difficult or aren't as convenient when using a gamepad. I used a mouse and keyboard for the first couple of years I played ESO. Unfortunately I have wrist and shoulder problems that make it uncomfortable for me to use the m&k for repetitive actions like clicking, clicking, clicking during combat and such.

I'm gamepad player.

I've always played with a controller, not because I think it's better, I just can't play on m/k at all. Also, I do like the UI a lot, maybe it's because I'm used to it, but I find it more convenient overall. A couple of things I don't like is not being able to read the map and run at the same time, having to take finger from movement button to weapon swap, the camera speed, and the skills that are bound on combo buttons, like ultimate, synergy, etc.

I'm gamepad player.

Depends on the game for me but typically gamepad. I usually save the mouse and keyboard for rts stuff like dawn of war or company of heroes.

I'm keyboard and mouse style player.

Keyboard + mouse with buttons + mini key pad (left side of keyboard, razer tartarus). In the end, I just use space bar to jump and CTRL on main keyboard. Whole rest is either on mouse or on pad.

At least on console we have in game chat as an option/ xbox parties (don't know what playstation has but I assume they have an equivalent).

We don't have that on PC, so how do players on PC chat when using a gamepad? Do they have to switch back and forth to a keyboard?

Came from PS, tried KB&M and went back to controller for manoeuvrability.

Playing --> Controller
everything else like crafting, inventory management etc. --> M&K

I just use keyboard for chat on pc its momentary then pick up the controller when im done with that.
