Can You Solo Harrowstorms?

The closest I've come to soloing a Harrowstorm was during the last event. Apparently there weren't many other players around at 3am Eastern. My healer and Isobel managed to survive solo for about 20 minutes before other players started arriving. I had not made much headway so it's doubtful I would have made it to the end.

    ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

isn't the whole point of a world boss/event that anyone can join at any time?

People make groups for them too. It would be easier to know of other people wanted to join instead of trying to fail to solo it.

It doesn't have to be soloable. The popularity of dragons in Elsweyr (which are also not soloable except by the most determined) shows that if you make the drops worth it, people will show up to do them. Of course, dragon events are not always populated, but I've noticed they are far more popular than harrowstorms.

(Or maybe people just like dragons and hate harrowstorms).

Dragons drop much better stuff. Harrowstorms can drop furnishing plan and vile coagulant, ingredient to craft minor timidity poisons (drain ultimate) but its usefulness is very limited, useless in pve and too short for pvp to make any impact. Dragons drop dragon blood and dragon rheum, needed for both versions of minor heroism potions, useful and impactful everywhere. And they are cooler to fight.

    No.

But, If I have 1 CP over300 skillful DPS player (not brain dead guy) ,
then I can finish them off just by 2 people. Because my main tank character
survive at there by solo, and can full taunt everything. Just please kill every ghost
instead of doing myself. Then no problem all.

I actually did it with only 1 good DPS player twice. And finish it within 10 minute.

Agree, just ghost is problem. But, if well trained real tank do it, there're still possibility finishing them off.

Yes, I did it on a full dps build but had to make some minor adjustments for the incoming damage. I just got all the pikes down as quickly as possible to stop more monsters spawning.

I voted yes although that is not *strictly* accurate... best I've done is taking down all 3 pikes and ~60% of the boss before someone else showed up... although I don't think I would have had any problems with that last 40% by myself since I was beaming from that point instead of sweeps :)

I can't, but a good enough TankPS can. But it's hard, preposterously time consuming, and not even remotely fun, according to my guildies who've done so.

Don't need a TankPS... (mostly) solo clear (someone crashed the party at boss execute) on a MagPlar in 7 light, one heal, channeled focus (major resolve) and Ring of the Pale Order... higher the dps, higher the healing :)

Agree. Dragon is better. Because, that flying lizard drop precious alchemy material.
It's more meaningful rather than Harrowstorms mission. And dragon can't heal itself.

By the way, if people do Harrowstorms by the glass DPS, your role is ghost killer.
You must kill much of ghost before reach the pike as possible as you can.
Because that ghost is the health potion of the pike. Do not fight with
other enemy except last boss. If you don't obey this rule, then you're just useless player
    for tank role player.

Note this for the DPS people.

If you find powerful tank at the Harrowstorms, then don't try to fight
against dangerous foe. It is the most bad behavior
. Just kill the ghost or
take down pike while tank trying to separate dangerous foe from around the pike.

I soloed Molag Bal and the portals at the middle in the Sewers, and never again. You don't even get a damn achievement for it, so I learned my lesson. I'll never, EVER waste my time with these things any longer (Molag Bal, harrowstorms, dragons etc).

I bet any current PVP meta build can solo Harrowstorms blindfold.

You know, the ones with infinite sustain, high damage, high defence, high speed that a 20+ chasing group plus an assortment of meat bags, seiges and lancers cant even dent the health of.

No, either someone chimes in (the more the merrier), or it doesn't fit the playtime.

You were talking about meta pvp builds, werent you? Sorcs are everything but meta...

Except in killing beginners / bad players in low rankings below CP level battlegrounds. But even here they are at best the second choice, because nightblades are even stronger in this discipline, just cloak and see how beginners / bad players literally cant do anything anymore to you while you just one or two shot them from stealth...

This said, so far to your argument that any PVP meta build could do it, still Sorcs can solo dragons and stuff, at least I did it on a Sorc but even then probablly it would had beene easier on literally any other class...

Stamina sorc. Very strong in PVP.

The current PVP 'meta' is god-mode tanky af, high sustain, high damage, high speed. All classes can build for it. Been like this last 3 updates, and balance is non-existent right now.

Just a hint for dragons. Dont fight them from the front, try to rotate until you fight them from the wing. Because the bite attack and the bleed you get from the front attack is deadly for non tanks, while its easy possible to survive the wing attack. Block (if it works...), dodge, shield and if you have enough health you can even heal. And try avoid getting hit by the whirlwinds (fast moveing red circles on the ground).

Rest is just patience, resource management and doing no mistakes, your DPS is even neglectible (but its helpful if you can kill adds quick and / or have good cleave, also in general higher dps makes it easier / faster).

Also dont stand in the circle below the dragon 🤣.

Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).
