Skill point and CP reset possibly through wayshrine travel

The hubby is having some trouble with certain skill points and some CP allocations being reset. He does not have an account here on the forums so I offered to post here for him.

He is working through the Dark Brotherhood quest line. He’ll do some quests, travel back to turn them in, and find that his DB and TG skill points have been reset. Some of his CP allocations are reset as well, but not all of them. He says it’s like it went back to a previous save or something. Both the skill points and CP are not lost thankfully, but he does have to reset these things multiple times per play session, so he is getting annoyed and just stopped playing today.

He believes it may be getting reset just by traveling by wayshrine. I know this sounds crazy, but he is a software programmer with 40+ years debugging code so I trust what he says.

First of all we would like to know if anyone else is experiencing this. Also, some helpful advice would be welcomed.

I will continue to update this thread if we find any more relevant information.

Ha ha, I think we figured this one out. Hubby was switching builds using the Armory Guy and one build didn’t have as many skills and CP allocated. He just happened to change builds before fast traveling, I guess.

So, there is apparently no bug after all and the behavior was all due to operator error.
