Event Fatigue

I have event fatigue from too many events too close together. It leaves little time for me to do my "normal" routines such as questing etc.. I've started just skipping a lot of the activities associated with these events but I wish they were spread out more.

FIrst, sorry to hear about your event fatigue!

Second, it feels like we are having about the same number of events this year compared to previous years.

Then don't do the event

If you just must get the tickets to get the Hour Glass piece then do the 1 or 2 required dailies to get the tickets, buy the fragment and forget about the event again.

When i have the event fatigue i just try to find the most optimal and fast way to get the tickets and do not participate anymore in it.

Kind of defeats the purpose of the event being held. These events are a way to get players to visit areas they might not have visited for a while and do things they haven't done for a while. It seems to me we have more events now and I too would like more time in between. Maybe combine some events or have the existing events not last so long. Sometimes it is fun to have nothing to do and run around doing it.

I know that. But if someone is having event fatigue they don't have to take part in the event, unless they have a bit of FOMO going on.

The timeline for events feel very unbalanced. We get times with barely any events, then suddenly we have 3 big ones close to eachother which causes fatigue.

That is why I said "I've started just skipping a lot of the activities associated with these events." I'd like to enjoy these events more but they are just way too close together to stand out as anything special.

I got event fatigue with the Indriks ... bad. I still find myself disgusted at the idea of trying to collect the rest of them. With the varied rewards they are doing now, I am just fine with all the events.

This. Event fatigue is self-inflicted. It is important for each to play their game and not let the game play you.

Those interested in getting the tickets can spend one day doing the dailies and turn one in each day to get the tickets. Issue solved.

This event has actually "great" holiday quest. It ends with boss fight, but quest NPC lead players under bridge, when boss spawn above bridge. I think that everybody would see that they need to go up, if there wasn't crowd of players under bridge, who spam abilities.

I will close my post, with that I used "yell" command in chat for the first time and that I hope most of crowd under bridge heard me.

No, it's not. It's caused by too many events too close together, and as someone else pointed out too close to the launch of a DLC.

I just skip events like this one as well as the pvp ones. I hate harrowstorms and don't do things like dungeons, trials and arenas. I had 12 tickets on my accounts after Witches Festival, so now I've got the the first two hourglass fragments on every account; I'll finish it up in New Life (which I love). It's helpful for not having event fatigue, for me, that this year and last year I only wanted the pet and the hourglass out of the offered "rewards". Next year depending on what it is, I may just concentrate on a few indriks and pets.

I do not have event fatigue because I choose to avoid it. I started a great way to avoid it yet still get tickets.

It is a choice that each of us makes as we are not forced to do anything. I took control of my gaming experience long ago and do not let the game control my experience.

When event tickets first came out, I was excited to get all of the Indriks, but they just never seemed to stop coming and I gave up chasing them. Like you, I got event fatigue then (or maybe I should call it ticket fatigue).

Then I participated in events to get the gear, motif and style pages out of the reward boxes, ignoring the tickets completely. Once I realized that regardless how many of these I collected, ZOS were just going to add more and that most of them would never be used, I gave up completely.

I've done the same thing by skipping a lot of the activities associated with these events, as I previously stated. This is how I am dealing with it.

But that doesn't take away the fact that Event Fatigue is causing me avoid activities I may otherwise enjoy if these events were spread out more.

I'm just jazzed to have something in-game, revisit an old expansion, and fill out my stickerbook. Would be nice if it wasn't so close to the DLC's launch, but I'll take it!

I enjoy the events and getting tickets, I'm always shouting off, "Tickets!! Tickets!! Getting my Tickets" and then the family starts throwing couch pillows at me.

If you don't want to do the events, no one is twisting your arm to do them, let those of us do them and have a little fun doing them.

Come on....everything in these forums doesn't have to be a negative  Cheers!!

There is nothing wrong with wanting events to be spread out more so they don't cause Fatigue and a lot of players can enjoy them more. They just don't feel like anything special when there are so many so close together.

Agreed. None of the events seem special any more.

At least the Impresario doesn't have anything for sale beyond the new outfit style. I don't care about the hourglass, or even creating a new dragon illusion.

Unless there is something you desperately want from the event merchant max out your tickets and then ignore the rest of the event.

Personally I rarely even bother with events that don't come with the double XP bonus, I just carry on as normal unless the event merchant has something I want which isn't often.

I'm personally only going to be getting my tickets each day and then heading back out to normal activity / new DLC (have only had access to Galen for 36 hours before the event dropped). Doesn't bother me too much as I'm not crazy about Greymoor / The Reach and I can still get both tickets in about 10 minutes.

I don't mind how close together the events have been, but I agree this launched far too close to Galen on consoles.

I don't remember anyone telling you to stop enjoying the events if you like doing them. I don't see why it's "negative" to make events feel special again. It's not like OP is requesting for events to be completely removed from the game. Part of the reason why these events felt special in the past is because you anticipated them.

Nah, doesn't help. When I did it, there were only a few people up on the bridge (who weren't spamming anything, because no need to rush the crowd), none under, but I still had no idea I had to go up there. The quest led to beneath, and I just stood there confused, wondering where the NPC had gone and why I heard the rest of the quest happening (NPC talking, boss talking, "woohoo, you won!") when I couldn't see anything obvious.

And yeah, I don't really have 'event fatigue' because I barely do much in them anymore. Never felt the need to farm dozens of purple boxes, so the last few I've just done one quest to get the tickets & gold box, and gone about my day. (or skipped them entirely, for dungeon or PvP ones; so there aren't nearly as many "constant events" in my world. :D )

I use to really like doing the events - not all, but most of them - and I've been really looking forward to the Skyrim event, being one of my favorite zones next to Morrowind. I even spun up a new Nord/Atmoran themed warden to level up during the event - it's one of the only classes I haven't really played around with all that much. Needless to say, I was pumped.

This event however, it just feels very empty in terms of content. There's nothing Skyrim/Reach/Nord related to any of the rewards reward. There's not really much in the way of rewards in general.

The "Saarthal" set doesn't remotely fit the event theme, it's Skyrim in name only, but very much looks like a leftover Breton/High Isle outfit, and that's it... there's nothing else going on with this event in terms of rewards.

I got my hourglass piece, and I'm happy others get a chance at the old Sovngarde outfit dropping... but from a content point of view, there's really nothing here.

The extra resources and experience is nice, and playing in Western Skyrim and the Reach fits my character, which is great... so it's not terrible or anything, it's just not really anything to get excited about, and that's kinda of a shame when it comes to a part of the game I'm so fond of.

Same, I don't do much besides getting the tickets, so I don't have fatigue. I think they are nice for new players and they do make the game feel lively, so I don't mind them. But I can see how someone who farmed them a lot might get fed up, that's easily remedied though, by not really participating. Thankfully ZOS has made it pretty easy to get tickets.
