As the title says, did today's patch fix the block bug?

I haven't done any random normal dungeons to burn up my enlightenment for two weeks due to the block bug.

Anyone know for sure if this bug has been fixe with today's patch?

    No. They said a few days ago that it's fixed internally, but it didn't get fixed in time for the patch to go off to Stadia.

    That means we can expect it in the next incremental, which should be on the 28th, unless they can get it out sooner.

    What do you need to block in normal dungeons? When doing dlc ones, just roll dodge bosses heavies and kill them.

    Block do not work.

    HA of lightning staffs are buged and do not work + have new bug, that it stop working untill gamr reloaf.

    Game crushes.

    Bad rotations (that is not comfortable to use) and parrot like DD light attack game play.

    Just an easy question what to do in game - endeavours ? Craft writs ? )

    Play card games ? )))

    So to play card games 100gb client is needed ? )))

    Who have to be interested in such updates ?

    Old players who liked quests and solo series ? But is not it new TES soli game that they can play ?

    What players have to do in TESO in U36 ?

    It is not about normal or not. Blocking is not supposed to work that way.

    It is not about normal or not. Blocking is not supposed to work that way.

    Some skills and mechanics do not work for years ! Only popular get fixes.
    Just as example 2 years ago LA get bug and HA get bug - they do not normally starts. LA bug was fixed for less than 14 days, HA bug was not fixed even now.

    How block is popular ? How much time will it need to be fixed ?

    Just a social experement )))

    1/10 of players may be play tanks.
    HA players are about 5/10% from DDs.

    So 3 time less than tanks playing.

    So ... i think about 1-2 month we will live with block like that ?

    Or popular blogers start say about problem, because some of them can not pass trials and problem will be fixed more early ?

    Or popular blogers do not even do trials now ?

    So TANKs will need to wait ? )))

    My impression was block worked while just blocking and failed when you combined it with something else so it might disrupt progress in harder content where players felt a need to combine it with something else but, in normal content it shouldn't really be a problem.

    At least in my case, it really doesn't work at all --- I have to hit the block button 2 or 3 times, and even then, when I get the little gold shield, the hit goes right through, anyways .... not my mouse, as I can hold right button and bash right from the attack stance ..... I can even weave in bashes with spammable attacks, and light attacks, but you NEVER get any blocks in.

    Block cancelling channeled skills is an important part of combat at all levels and is currently bugged. If you’re channeling a skill (and classes like templar have channeled class spammables from 100-0% of the fight), then you will run into one of the block bugs when you try to cancel it to block. There are bosses even in Wayrest Sewers who will choose random targets, regardless of taunt, and the devs expect players to block. Chances are you won’t be able to block cancel and then reapply block in time if, say, the final boss of WS2 chooses you for her instant teleport. Without block that hurts substantially even on normal and can easily be fatal on vet.

    It’s not the players feeling the need to “combine” things with block in harder content there. That’s basic gameplay in one of the easiest dungeons, and it doesn’t work right.

    Did some normal randoms yesterday as a REAL tank and noticed my block was dropping. I got the addon "Am I Blocking" and I can see the display disappear when I blocked so from what I gather the block bug is back.

    They have not issued a fix for it yet.

    I don't know about you but, I don't expect the random players I'm with in Wayrest on Normal to be blocking the combo (I'd expect more dodge rolling) and it isn't going to impact the result either way. If they are squishy enough to actually die, I'll have them up in a few seconds and if they live they'll be at full health in one cast of Combat Prayer or my HOTs+ From the Brink. If I'm really concerned about it, I can pop Barrier.

    Dodge rolling is also bugged right now - things are hitting through it that shouldn't be.

    Regardless, the issue still stands that block-cancelling a channeled skill is a basic combat function that is currently bugged in a way likely to disrupt combat for the player using channeled abilities, and that's not a "combination" move exclusive to more experienced players or higher level content.

    If the fix isn't released to the player base then it's not fixed yet.

    The 5th of December for PC and 7th for console.
    It will fix block bug (and a few others), but that's still 5 weeks of block (and other features) not working as intended.

    The official announcement says it'll fix "Block being interrupted by dodge rolling or bashing" but what about block dropping from block casting?

    Apparently the block bug is still a problem, even after today's patch that was supposed to fix the bug. (Dec 5th)

    They fixed at least roll and bash dropping block but introduced a bug where bar swap immediately after triggering action can disable all blocking.
