Two Galen leads in treasure maps??

did only 3 Galen maps with nothing significant dropped.
these maps are quite rare and expensive at Guild Traders, so i think the game-makers, probably like to realize players do suffer (as the average drop rate and time to obtain them leads should be estimated before implementing the thing)

i dont think that the complaint is the item being added to the map, but the thing being added to the maps has a stupid low drop rate, from an item that itself is a stupid low drop rate

if the leads were like 50-80% chance to get, or even guaranteed, then it would make the map more valuable to well the majority of people

No. The treasure map sourcing was always poor but it didn't matter because chests weren't things with a lot of exclusive stuff. Now, they improved the rewards but the problem sourcing issue was never resolved. It's not a lose - lose, they just need to change the way they are obtained so people can target the maps they want.

So far I've bought ~20 maps for ~4 mil gold total with no leads for the skin. I got the Eldertide shoulders lead once and the vulkesh egg lead once. I can't emphasize enough how absolutely miserable and demoralizing that is. I regret even farming the other 9 leads, which in itself was irritating, buggy, and tedious. ZOS, please revisit this lead drop in the future. Two layers of RNG for a lead that seems to have an incredibly low drop rate is just not OK, especially for something that isn't tradeable.

I have never engaged with leads from treasure maps and I never will. I won't bankrupt myself and disrespect my own time like that.

Had received 30 ish Galen maps....no lead....dont waste your in game gold buying...not worth it.

update: did 8 treasure maps. no lead. Considering maps are uncommon and expensive to buy, maybe Zenimax could significantly increase lead drop chances or change/add alternative sources?

@ZOS_Kevin please help. This awkward lead sourcing is kind of discouraging.

Haven't received one map myself and I'm not paying the ridiculous prices for one. Leads like this are not worth doing and a blight on the whole scrying experience imo.

Look on the bright side. Having two non-repeatable, one-off leads for cosmetics in treasure maps, is a *HUGE* improvement over having 14 repeatable ones for a crafting motif.

Ancient Daedric, Ancient Breton, Ancestral Reach, lookin' at YOU. Ancient Daedric being the worst because the Deadlands is a small zone - even the Ancestral Reach motifs can show up in Western Skyrim, The Reach *or* Blackreach treasure maps, and Ancestral Breton has several varieties of High Isle map to choose from.

I meant the bark skin lead. 20 maps and too much gold and only the lead for the motifs. That barkskin lead is TOOOOO rare

Another thing I notice: The Eldertide Shoulders style pages are, in fact, tradable?

Does this imply you can get them more than once per character?

they do in a indirect way, they know people buy crowns to buy gold, then they make things hard to get to increase prices, so they get more crown sales

6 Galen treasure maps and over 200,000 gold wasted for nothing, no Petrified Tree Bark Tablet lead. I won't spend more on a single item.
So much time wasted on getting the other sub-items. I lost interest in this Skin. A huge dispointment, again.

Already have like 20 of those furnishings in my bank, need to get rid of those.

I'm still missing one of the leads after an untold number of maps. At this point, I don't care anymore. Nice job, ZOS. If I were to get the lead, I'm not sure if I would dig it up out of spite, lol.

Yeah I need to clean out the bank but so busy with Mayhem right now. My point though was I keep getting a crap lead instead of the good one. If they’re going to put a lead in the treasure map chest it should be the only lead to come from there.
