Download Progress

Just out of curiosity: If I were to exit and restart the ESO launcher, would that reset the game download progress?
Also, are there any suggestions for making the download go faster than an average of 100kB/sec? Because at the current rate, I'm going to be sitting here for the next 34 hours--actually longer because I would have to leave the computer to sleep, go to class, and work tomorrow so I won't be able to babysit it when it goes down to 0kB/sec.

No, it'll pick up where it left off. At least, it did when I did it.

    Edit:

As for faster speeds, it's probably going to be up to your router/modem capabilities. Make sure your firewall isn't blocking it and that's about as much as I think you can do.

Turns out turning off my firewall made the download speed worse. And I can't do much about my router/modem because I'm using my school's internet connection.

The school may have limits on the upload/download rate to prevent downloading large amounts of data. I know when I was at the college (this was two years ago) they had it setup to make it brutal to download anything over a few hundred megabytes.

Also, the servers are probably jammed from so many people downloading the client.

Yeah, about that ... Speedtest.net shows I've got a download speed of about .57 Mb/s (this is a hotel that severely throttles speed on its "free" access, unless you wanna pay more), yet average download speeds for this update have been hovering around 100 kB/s.

Just had a stellar idea: My new office has kick-butt internet speed, so once this snails-pace download for the MacOS is complete (likely tomorrow morning), I'll update the Windows 7 side at work.

This is of course assuming my woes are a result of Extended Stay America's sluggish internet connection.

*yawn* Well over twelve hours later, 15300 MB left. Anyone think I'm going to get to play before Thursday at this rate?
