What Mag class do you find it hardest to beat in 1 v 1?

It's hard to choose between dk, nb and plar for me, as all 3 are really strong currently.

I chose nb, mainly because dk is the least hardest of the 3 to face (for me) and because plar is mostly because of the PotL bug which is getting fixed next patch, whereas nb is just overall the strongest mag spec in the game right now (at least for pvp)

Magic dragonknight solely because of corrosive armor. Mag DK isn't powerful defensive wise but your damage is useless the moment they pop corrosive and every DK out there is using it.

If corrosive armor wasn't a factor, it'd be Mag Warden because warden has pretty powerful defense and healing, way better than that of mag DK but corrosive armor just gives a middle finger to that lol.

I think the largest issue is a Magden jumps on you and it skill lacks the stopping power of say MagDK. I think the largest issue is the changes to Deep Fissure, the biggest part of the attack is behind 9s of waiting and hoping that you don't just miss or it can largely be negated through Major Evasion so all that extra damage on the hit is removed. The changes to Glacial Presence is going to shake things up a bit for Magden but I don't think it will make Magden suddenly S-Tier. Frost Staff is still Destro and still is just weaker than all Stam Based Weapons in Utility, Passives, and Skills.

If they made a big push to fix destro next year that might be a different story but as is, even with the changes, I would much rather fight a Magden than a Magdk

missing info, what kind of 1v1? cp or no, i have a pillar to hide or no, r we on a platform or no. Also ur enemy mag depends on what u playing urself, each setup has a different mag enemy class

If the MagAnything spams whirling blades or dizzy/executioner, then it is much stronger than a staff wielding Magtoon.

Ranged magic abilities are clunky and get dodged all the time in PVP. Stamina 2h/dual wield doesnt have that problem, particularly whirling blades.

DK also has the best burst self-healing in the game, unblockable CC, and not just 1 but 2 great class ults.

I say mag temp as a mag sorc. Stands in rune, blocks, and cleanses curse. Unkillable. At least with Dk it doesn't cleanse the last remaining bit of DPS mag sorc has that isn't blocked lol.

Also Mag Wardens are insanely tankie vs a Sorc. Shimmering shield completely mitigates frag, light attacks and force pulse. It can also potentially cleanse curse. The last bit of remaining dps

Just to add, our execute can be cleansed and blocked. Horrendous class for a 1v1.

What does sorc have in comparison. Doesn't have a cleanse. Can't roll dodge as much, literally can't block with Shields as it's mitigation goes to 0. Oh and let's not forget Shields are now the worse bit of defence in the game.

The only 2 classes funny enough that are easier for me to fight purely because they cannot cleanse my curse and execute is DK and Blade. However stam blade just rolls dodges and stealths my entire combo which is arguably better than a cleanse LOL

Oh and cleanses completely mitigate the destro passive that gives increased status effect chance. Whilst desto is already sub par to every other weapon for PvP LOL.

Not even going to bother with the stamina version of this thread. Stamina has access to all of the above but is even better against any shield stacking sorc. Forcing 5 light armour pieces to get Dampen/Harness. Light armour already provides the least resistance and then it takes MORE Stamina damage, whilst Shields are already utterly horrendous.
