Please let us disable Quickslot Wheels

I only use one quickslot wheel and I only have one item in it, my restoration potions. Several times now in the middle of combat I've had it switch wheels on me and there is nothing I can do to get it set back short of getting out of combat, removing my potions and adding them back again.

I have no interest in changing wheels to change my companion or to do emotes or other things I don't care about. These are not helpful to me at all and have caused me to die several times now.

Please give us a toggle to disable the quickslot wheels we don't want to use.

I am finding them invaluable to switch between my companion, banker and merchant.
Having consumables and siege on one wheel and tools and emotes on another is great.
But it is designed more for controllers, so there is that.

That is great for those who find them useful but they are just an unwelcome annoyance for those of us who don't. We should be able to toggle them on and off.

That one annoys the heck out of me as well. I don't even have anything slotted on the other wheels, so it should not change to them outside of the quickslot configuration tab.

I really dislke them, on xbox I now must cycle through wheels for a simple text emote like "good job everyone" or "hello"..

I would be ok, if the first, main wheel could hold different types as before, like a healthpotion, 4 text emotes, and a memento.
But in the current form I don't see them as advantage, but as a setback.

I totally agree, and having them unintentionally switching slots has been an increasing problem recently.

I use only the original wheel, I have no use for the others so a toggle to turn them off would be great! 💕

    Extra Quickslot Wheels, Great idea.

Making them exclusive to specific actions, horrible idea.

I've had them switch several times and I can't switch it back while in combat. I've tried and it just won't do it. And then when I am finally able to switch it back the potion never shows up under Q until I take them completely off of the wheel and place them back on again.

I will never use these wheels and should not be forced to, especially when they have gotten my character killed several times now because I couldn't use my potion.

Damn that wheels when I need quick change potions in combat always stuck with theese i can't find any good word about it. Before this super idea it wasn't any problem to change quickslot even with shift+lmb.
Okay I deleted default key bind for this but still...

Edit: I used to change quickslots via Bandit UI (they still dindt fixed adding to slots bellow inventory) and keybinds but still original quickslot wheel was quick and nice.

Can consoles not? On PC (w/o addons), the main wheel still acts as it did before so we can still slot emotes/mementos/whatever.

The additional wheels are just for those specifically, but the main can do anything.

For anyone on PC, there is an addon that will disable wheel switching in combat to prevent this bug: https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info3387-NoM0RStickyWheels.html

The new wheel setup is absolutely not user friendly. I'd rather see an option to enable 1-4 wheels, not be forced to flip through different categories just to select something.

Yep on console the main wheel can still hold whatever. I've never had the game flip to another wheel without effort, as on console you select the wheel and the item but it doesnt then remain on that wheel

Yes, I've fat fingered it a few times during PvP and ended up with empty wheels in my way that I have to ESC out of. And since there's no siege wheel, I'd just as soon not have to mess with it.

no, on xbox you can not assign text emotes like "hello" to it.
If you try, you just get a category symbol on the wheel, but it has no effect if you try to activate it.
    Only potions and mementos work.

Big set back in QOL for me.

We use quick chat a lot in pvp and there is nothing quick chat about having to cycle through multiple wheels to get there.
We have no room on the main bar to slot it there either.
Let us re-order them please!!! Companions, momentos and tools are completely useless to me 99% of my game time. I just want to bust out a "thank you" as fast as possible when I get help in a really hot fight.

I've had to get an addon to turn the extra wheels off while in combat. Your food is running out or you need to switch a potion... so you bring up the wheel while you're doing your rotation as a dps because there's no time to stop, open wheel, switch quickslot, close wheel, use button. I'd frequently hit an LA and get stuck on one of the extra wheels, flailing around like a cat with a bag on its head.
I also don't have anything slotted on them except for my main and even there I don't use them. I'd be happy with a wheel for siege and a wheel for everything else if we're sticking with wheels.

So, so true. I know people like them for various reasons, but they are a pain in the tush in combat. Well intentioned, but still a pain in the tush.

Edit to mention I use PC keyboard for what that is worth.

I think at least on PC/Mac that we should be able to bind the extra wheels to separate keys. I get it being harder on console because of the lack of additional buttons though.

I have to agree with the OP. This is EXTREMELY frustrating and cannot be avoided in many situations unless you simply stop fighting altogether.

Btw the, the issue can be fixed mid-fight by simply pressing up the menu again and then canceling it. I think it's caused if you block while the menu is open and your are swapping from one group to another. Not entirely sure because the only time I have it happen is when changing potions mid-fight in Cyrodiil so I don't usually have time to perform the free service of testing and documentation that ZoS expect from us these days.

Pressing up what menu? I never open anything, it just opens itself and nothing I do stops it.

Sorry I mistyped that. I meant 'bringing up' the menu again. It has something to do with the new extra wheels they added. If you perform some action while the quickslot menu is open and you change wheels at the same time (which tends to happen because the menu is sooooo slow to respond to inputs and you often need to move around in fights which uses the same keys as swapping quickslot wheels) then it gets stuck open. I find I can fix it by bringing the quickslot menu up again and then just selecting what I wanted the first time I tried to do it.

EDIT: actually I realized that swapping quickslot menus uses the left and right mouse buttons. Just shows how much I actually use the thing. Anyway, the issue is still the same. The menu gets stuck open and you have to bring it up again to get it to close.

The thing is, I never bring it up in the first place. I have rejuvenation potions on the main Quickslot wheel and nothing else. I never open it on purpose.

Hmm maybe you have a different issue then? Wouldn't surprise me considering the quality of this feature they've added. It might be that your key is getting stuck? Or that lag is dropping the signal for releasing it whenever you are using potions sometimes.

Regardless I still stand by your original assessment. This 'feature' was ill conceived and needs to be optional. I personally never use it and find it distracting at best and rage-inducing at worst. I'm not even sure why it exists since the people that would likely use it the most don't need such fast access to these things anyway. I guess maybe it helps their immersion? But when *I* am being immersed in a big fight with 100 other people and this menu goes bonkers it definitely pulls *me* out of *my* little world I was inhabiting in a very rapid and angering way! XD You are completely correct that making this optional would fix all of these problems. Here's to hoping that happens in the next 5 years.

Why does this exist, you ask? Some of us who PvP asked for another quickslot wheel because the main one gets filled up with siege and we could use a few more slots. I don’t think any of us anticipated that there would be more than one and they would only accept certain types of things on each one.

As someone pointed out the quick emotes for “thank you” when someone revives you is now on the fourth wheel I think, so many clicks in the middle of a big melee you hope you don’t die while doing it but you don’t want to seem ungrateful.

Well they really should do something about this. I don't even use my backbar on all but one character because I hate swapping so much. These wheels constantly in my face every time I go to use anything that "can" be put on a quickslot wheel is annoying enough but having them popup in the middle of combat...ugh. Please let us toggle some of these off.

I have not used the extra wheels and only use one wheel. I have not had any issues at all. I have consumables, siege, an ally, and a couple moments on that one wheel.

I had thought until just now when I tested it that I had not activated them and because of that I only had one wheel. However, I checked and both wheels are active and I moved items around the one wheel i used and it still works as it always has, as one wheel. It was not difficult and does not seem to be a problem.
