Just wondering where the Epic Battles are in Raven EU. Ther is no Epic Battles any more, just single peoples running round, and round in Towers on Res almost immortals. And for Sieging ther is no better.... just 3 ppl and a Ram + 3 Ballistas, and they take a Keep in 2 min. Unfortunatly i cant see that is some sort of Epic Battle. And dont talk about nightcapping, what a joke! PVD thats not PVP.

The era of epic battles has ended.
Now we epic lag end epic broken mechanics exploited by every organized group.
[snip] Cyrolag is alway almost empty.
    Was fun till it lasted.

I was on the yell side on Tuesday to find out about it. People don't get invited into LfG groups. And without LfG groups there are no large battles, typically.

But this is basically true on all sides, the difference is that DC solo players feel well protected by its guild groups, so they can roam freely and pick their fights. This is not the case with the Yells and the Reds.

    Because:

There is a huge imbalance regarding personal skill on the campaign. There are no broken mechanics on Ravenwatch (except mist form) that groups exploit. Whoever claims something like this has obviously no idea that the real broken stuff like VD or forced synergy crits do not work here. It IS a skill issue. And this comes from someone who has a VERY long history of writing "how to defeat ball groups" forum guides. Just look at my comment history.

Neither the yells nor the reds have groups that can consistently win an engagement against DC's ball groups without massive help from leechers, lag, or siege fire - and those 2 that can, fight away from their faction.

That leads to the situation that on the days when said groups run, both the yells and the reds basically surrender without a fight, whilst they zerg everything down on the days they know those DC guilds don't run.

It is frustrating for all sides, and I would be more than willing to teach and personally lead every red or yell group that is willing to improve. Because as soon as the faction's solo players feel effectively protected by the faction's guild groups, they will return to Ravenwatch.

You can sometimes still find them but the faction population tends to be imbalanced throughout most of the day, and when there is a 3-bar or faction lock on every side, the lag is often too bad to really be able to enjoy the encounters that occur.

That being said I still had fun this campaign, mainly fighting red side as AD. DC seems to be in a position where there is either no one online apart from a few smallscalers/solo players who are not very interested in objectives, or the entire faction is online with not enough AD to really mount any sort of defense to make for a fun fight.

LFG has not really been a thing anymore for a long time, although some guilds will occasionally make a second group with which they pick up randoms to follow them around. Still nothing compared to the old days where you could type lfg and reliably find an actual group of randoms. Probably a combination of lower group sized and just lower population overall.

The Lag of lfg groups definitely makes PvP less acessible. You want to PvP and have to play solo because your friends and guilds are offline and there is no PuG and no smallscale inviting randoms, but almost every enemy player is in a group and hunting you as soon as they see you because you are outnumbered and chanceless and easy prey, so better you just leave because you are just free ap even if you are a good player.

Even if you deal enaugh dmg on them to kill them 1v1 while getting attacked by multiple players they survive in group thanks to crosshealing and group buffs.
The way to get more PvP players and epic battles is not excluding solo players.

They just aren't there lately, they still happen occasionally but it's becoming more and more rare. I play on the PS NA server mainly in GH and my alliance (EP) has just lost major interest this campaign. The constant lagging, disconnects, unable to bar swap, players cheating (Yes, this happens) and to top it off, we lost a large chunk of EP to AD where they've stacked every ball group in the server. You flag a keep and suddenly there's 40+ AD there to zerg you down, rinse & repeat that and eventually you lose players which means a lack of battles.

The sad thing about ESO Cyro is that Devs made the game a Solo Game.
Devs made so y can do all Dungeons and most contents solo in PVE, thats ok, but its not ok to marketing a game as a Epic PVP battle, when its not.
Its to easy to take Keeps for 1 thing, Guards are just for looks, cant do any harm to players.
Walls, Keep Gates fall to easy, 1 player hide inside a Keep kills all guards and contest Keep in a few minutes. Are that Epic? For the player yes. For the Game NOT!! Its a wast of AP or money to repair Keeps, because Keeps fall so easy.
1v1 its fine if players are strong, but when taking Keeps and Res its would be a lot harder to take, as i say before 1 player can take a keeps and res in a couple of minutes, no need for group!
And for EU-Raven, all alliance hopping, thats a shame, im not surprised most alliances are on 1 bar most of the time.

Check out on of the cinematic ZOS trailers, your never going to find "Epic" battles except from outside MYM

The same [snip] happens, AD will seige a keep and Purple will show up NOT EVEN A LOOK IN TO EACH OTHER'S DIRECTION while DC will run around the tower and EP will wipe AD

Come to PC/NA/GH any night of the week between 8-11 EST. You’ll see AD and EP faction stack Glademist in an epic attempt to gate DC, and epically fail.

On PC EU it is traditionally the second main campaign.
