For some reason, when I went to a crafting table in Vulkhel Guard, I was kicked back to the login screen due to an "unexpected error". When I logged back in, I was in the middle of the ocean being eaten by slaughterfish. I resurrected at the nearest wayshrine, which was somehow at the very northern tip of Auridon, despite the fact that I'd only been to Vulkhel Guard at that point.
Hasn't happened again, but this may be something worth looking in to.
