Weird Mouse Movement

Zer033x

I have a problem in the game where when I move the mouse it will sometimes jerk upward and make me look up, and it is even worse in 3rd person because it puts the camera way below me. I thought it could be the mouse so I tested in other games and it isn't. ESO is the only game I have this problem in.

I thought it could be some weird resolution thing. I am running a 4k monitor at 3840x2160, but I have tried other resolutions down to 1080p and it still does it regardless. I'm not really sure what it could be that is causing this that would be ESO specific. Any ideas?

Oh yea I should also say when I bring up the cursor (. key) in the game and move it back and forth it shows no jumping at all. It seems to be just when I'm controlling my character either first or third person that it happens.

Zer033x......I'm having the mouse drift issue. I noticed that a good amount of people experienced issues during the Beta with mouse drifting/jumping. I never experienced it myself until the game went live today. Basically, while in first or third person the camera just starts drifting in random directions. This does not take place while in menus or zoomed in conversations....the mouse stays perfectly still.

I'm getting this mouse drift as well, while it isn't game breaking, it is seriously annoying

Same mouse drifting problem here. Really annoying.
I noticed that it happens only with the usb mouse, while with the laptop trackpad everything's normal.

My spec: Windows 8.1 running in Bootcamp on a Mid'12 Macbook Pro Retina.

It could be caused by a plug & play device like a controller, phone or some such.
I remember other games suffering a problem like this before & it turned out it was some generic device plugged into the PC.

I FOUND THE ISSUE! Control Panel>Hardware&Sound>Mouse>Pointer Options then DESELECT the box labeled "Enhance Pointer Precision"

I feel so accomplished! Damn, that drifting was annoying.

Thanks. Hope it works. I won't be able to test it for a few more hours.

Had the same problem. I changed the resolution on my PC to 1776x1000. It seems to work but with a reduced screen
