I only have ESO on PC. When I logged into my account on the website today instead of going to the account summary page it took me to a Linked Accounts page which says:
"To play The Elder Scrolls® Online on your PlayStation® or Xbox®, you need to link your PlayStation™Network or Xbox® account. You can link both a PlayStation™Network and Xbox® account, but no information (characters, progress, etc.) will be shared between them--the accounts are entirely separate. You can unlink your console accounts at any time and re-link them later if you choose."
It then has buttons to link my account to Xbox or PSN as well as Steam, Stadia, Amazon and Twitch.
Am I right in thinking this means if I link my PC-only account to my PSN account I can then play ESO on Playstation without having to buy another copy of the game? I know that - as it says - there's no cross-play and it would be an entirely new account starting from scratch, but it would still be a free copy of ESO, which seems like an odd thing for ZOS to do. I can't test it right now because I don't currently have PS+ and I don't want to pay for it just to try this out, but I'd like to know in case I want to do it in future.
