Game won't allow me to fish

Trinexus
Trinexus
I was fishing normally, then I had a fight, killed the mob and when I tried fishing again it won't allow me to, saying that I can´t while in werewolf form. I don´t have the werewolf skill line, and no werewolf quest either. Tried logging out, changing equipment, but nothing works.Screenshot_20140330_152848.jpg

Got the same problem. And I'm no werewolf! And I'm not infected. But I see this message occurs only on some fishing places. Others work without a problem.

So I think this is a bug?

At all the fishing spots I've tried I get the same error message. And I'm definitely no werewolf. I'll keep trying, but it's frustrating.

Same issue here. Would love to hear of a fix

It is no the only issue with fishing. I have not had trouble like yours but i have had it where I have fished up the Achievement fish twice only to not have it in my inventory (140G item) and to not receive the achievement. My husband had the same issue. So we have just stopped fishing.

I had the same trouble with that specific fishing hole. (On Bleakrock Isle, just north of the tent with the fishing journal…) I suspect it has to do with the achievement for catching a special fish in Bleakrock. All the other fishing holes around the island worked for me with no trouble.

I'm having that same problem - fished it up four times between two characters, and none of the fish counted. So I've also given up on fishing for now.

You can add me to this list. I have fished up the Pyandonean Ray three times now, but without getting it into my inventory or getting the achievement. I won't fish anymore until I see patch-notes specifically mention this.

I have this same werewolf fishing bug, is there a fix? I'm trying for the achievement as well.
  • Starbucket
I'm not sure AstroCat. I gave up and moved on to Bal Foyen. The issue seemed to resolve it once I moved zones. (Ie: I can fish!)

Strangely enough, while I was romping around Bleakrock I also noticed that instead of regular footprints I had "wolfy" ones. Very strange!

If you finish Bleakrock and go back later can you still do the fishing achievement there? Thanks.

I'm glad it's not just me. The first time I thought it happened because my inventory was full or something like that. The second time it happened I knew something was wrong.

That's bad... Anyway, there is some special spot or bait for fishing this ray ?
Even if we actually can't catch it, I never saw it when fishing in Khenarti's Roost.

If someone has a clue... Or maybe it is just a luck thing.

Hi, folks. Did this start happening on Bleakrock for you? If you haven't already, please try using the /reloadui command. If that doesn't work, please try logging out of ESO completely, then logging back in. Please let us know if that doesn't resolve the issue!

I also "caught" the Pyandonean Ray three times (fishing holes along the west coasts of the islets on the west side of Khenarthi's Roost, where you encounter numerous Sea Vipers) but it never registered the Roost Angler achievement nor went to inventory.

I exited the game completely between each "catch", and tried both "Take All" [R] and highlighting the fish and selecting "Take" [E].

I'd probably still be (futilely) trying but I finally ran out of worms. :D

This indeed started happening on Bleakrock, and your suggestions have not helped. I'm still being accused of trying to fish as a werewolf (as much as I wish I was one) and have been unable to loot the Inner Sea Scalefin the 3 or 4 times I have been able to fish it up.

    Same here today.
