Reading through the page, how does this community event work exactly? ... achievements are now accountwide, and so are striking locales, so basically we can only participate once per account now(excluding the separate NA/EU). While in the past we could do this on each separate character if we wanted to contribute more.
Or does the event still count the striking locales per character?... which would be weird as achievements are now accountwide.
Due to achievements being accountwide, this event now looks like an "I don't have to do anything"-event. Which is weird, as you would want players to participate. As we did in past events like these. Not doing anything, isn't really an event.

Would be better to come up with a totally different type of community event for the future.

PS: We should also have an in-game way of seeing how much ESO+ time we have left.

The multiple characters doing it part really always seemed counterintuitive to their overall goal with this event. It's a giant advertisement for the chapter, and the 4th quarter DLC (likely the hidden reward for the event). So, 10 players doing the achievement 18 times doesn't really do anything for them, where 18 players doing the achievement is 8 more players buying High Isle and logging into the game. Chances are, they are just adjusting the completion expectations to account for the once per player attainment possibility. They already know what the turn out for this type of event is and where to gauge the goals from.

And the participation for players who have already done the striking locales is for the event tickets with the daily quests, the extra resource node drops, and the box drops from random stuff.

We still should be able to repeat it on each of the servers (PC NA, PC EU, XBox NA, etc.)

Do the daily Tales of Tribute quests count as a High Isle daily quest?

    @Sarannah
Agree, the requirement for visiting striking locales (points of interest) on High Isle could use some clarification (do multiple toons add anything?) - I suspect this will be addressed during the ESO Live show coming up on Friday Thursday 29th (3pm EDT). At minimum though, players should make sure that if they already have the High Isle Pathfinder achievement on their main account, they should also have (or create) a character on the OTHER megaserver (e.g. PC/EU if PC/NA is your main) and get the Pathfinder achievement there.

Note that having multiple characters allows you to do more daily repeatable quests in the zone (if you have the time), for more bonus loot, if you are so inclined.

[Added comment:] I agree also that if it's just the Pathfinder achievement ... pretty much everyone who already has High Isle should already have completed this achievement, so... perhaps there should be some other goal for a "community event"?

One more question though: what is a "clickable" thing in zone, from which we might be able to get bonus loot boxes? I understand the chance of random bonus rewards from everything else in zone (vents, treasure chests, nodes, etc.), but am unclear what is a "clickable"...?
Update: it looks like this method of earning extra reward boxes was a typo, it has been removed from the announcement article already.

I don't think it matters, and I don't think it did in the previous events either; we were never given exact numbers per stage, they could easily adjust this behind the scenes, because it would look bad for a community even to fail.

    Guaranteed chance for companion gear
    1. Ember or Isobel must be your active companion

@ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_GinaBruno Can you confirm if only the High Isle Companions affect these drops?

Hi All, a few clarifying details based off of questions.

The Pathfinder achievement is account-wide per server, but you can complete the achievement on more than one server. Players who already have the achievement can also help by assisting other players with traveling around the Systres, which will also help contribute to the end-goal.

For the companion gear, it will only drop if you have Ember or Isobel active at the moment. However, the gear itself can work for any Companion.

By the way, if anyone wants to prepare for this High Isle event, and you already have the Pathfinder achievement, you may want to do the following on your characters (alts if you have more than one):
    • discover all High Isle wayshrines, so that you can more easily do zone dailies
    • unlock at least one of the two Companions from High Isle, so that you can have Ember or Isobel active when you do zone dailies - for a chance of getting legendary companion gear

If you don't yet have High Isle, it is normally on sale (at a 25%-40%-ish discount) during an event like this - check if your wallet can afford to fork out some $$ for a digital upgrade.

Thanks for the answers. But I still think it is a weird event: Don't do anything, and pray the other players will get you to 100%. Isn't the whole point of a community event, to get the community to work towards a common goal!?!

Maybe it's just as well the event is more of a PR stunt that possibly doesn't take into account actual in game counting, as when I just tried the pathfinder 2 of the six marks on the map did not change to white, so possibly did not get counted (who knows?) .. and to add to the confusion Dufort Docks has an "eye" symbol that is not included in the achievement, and also it did not flip to white either :P

How many "striking locales" are there on High Isle / Amenos?

There are 7 eye-ball icons shown on the map but only 6 striking locales listed in the zone info. Dufort Shipyard is not listed in the zone info.

Dear Zos, 'guaranteed chance' does not mean what you think it means.

Any chance is guaranteed, if that's the chance you've set it at, but that might be 5%. 1%. A rubbish chance, in other words. The fact its guaranteed isn't much good to anyone.

If you mean, 'you are definitely going to get at least one or two of the following items' then just say that.

Small correction, the article only mentioned "Legendary Companion Jewelry" from the 100%—Ascendant Hoard Box. It doesn't say anything about getting legendary companion gear from dailies.

@ZOS_Kevin can we get clarification on if the "additional rewards" from trials bosses just means double drops on gear and if so can we confirm if this applies to specifically perfected drops in Dreadsail Reef?

This event definitely feels kinda weird now that we have account wide achievements. I used to do the pathfinder achievement on multiple alts in previous years, including new alts and low levels who hadn’t done any exploring in the new zone yet. I felt as if I was contributing to my server accomplishing the group task.

Now, with one character having already done the High Isle pathfinder achievement on each of my accounts, it no longer feels as if there’s anything I can do to help the server meet the goals. Granted, it was obvious even in the first year of this event that the daily “progress” was whatever ZOS wanted it to be and that “winning” was pre-assured, but even so, it felt as if we were all working together. And the final reward was awesome! But now…I don’t know. I’ll probably participate, because I always do, but not with the same enthusiasm, sadly.

Anyone know the drop chances for companion gear in the rewards as well as High Isle itself?

I've done 8 or 9 vents and 6 dailies, all with Isobel equipped, since the event started and don't think I've seen any yet. I've got several high Isle set pieces and a single motif page, but no companion gear.
