ESO Not responding ( crash ) on loading screen.

After I finished creating my character, I was ready to play the game. But, the game crashes back to desktop as soon as I press play and the "Wailing prison" loading screen is showing.
I thought it perhaps was related to a cinematic that starts playing after creating your character, but i've tried several times now without any luck ( even created a few characters more ).
I see a lot of people with login and server problems, but I haven't seen anyone that crashes when trying to enter the game with a character. Any fix out or are the devs aware of this? What gives?
