This nonsense needs to be nerfed.
1. Let us taunt Droda.
2. Let us interrupt her drain/heal mech.
3. Add a combat tip that tells the player they need to break free.
Honestly, not one part of this fight as it currently stands is fun. It's a chore and I'm sick and tired of having to slog through it and deal with players who don't want to listen when being told the specifics of how to break free.
If it's bothering you that much, you can slot a purge for those people who will not learn.vivisectvib16_ESO wrote: »I'm sick and tired of getting this as a pledge [...]

It never thought someone would struggle this hard to do a non-DLC veteran dungeon. Tbh If your fellow group mates can't do it after you told them how to do it. It's on then. Roll dodging away from her AoE when she teleports and breaking free to avoid her health drain is little to no effort compared to some other dungeons, arenas and trials. Direfrost Keep is fine, but people need to pay attention to mechanics instead of avoiding them.
I can imagine how atrocious it would have been if they queued for DLC dungeons lol
To be honest, I'd prefer if they went the route of making it harder. Make it so the tethered person cannot be healed. So they break free or they die, and if they die after 5~6 seconds, the boss won't continuously and indefinitely heal. Or give the tether ramping damage so that eventually (maybe 10 seconds) a tick would be a one-shot. Then you can just leave them dead. Punish the person with the tether for not breaking free, not the group because of one person. Not sure I'd change it though, maybe delay the heal a few seconds (she seems to get a tick or two before it is even possible to break free), maybe scale it back at the start then ramp up fast (along with the damage so she can just kill whoever cannot do the mechanic and the rest can finish the fight), or even just let others bash / interrupt.
LOL, I detest that fight, and I've done it solo several times recently to complete my sticker book for the helms which makes it worse than terrible when I get it with some random who just cannot or will not break free and there is nothing we can do but hope she kills them.

Off topic, but I didn't think you could solo that dungeon anymore because of the pressure plates?

Remember having a lot of problems at direfrost at my first time in vet, was on healer and I blocked too much so I was out of stamina and could not break free.CaptainVenom wrote: »vivisectvib16_ESO wrote: »I'm sick and tired of getting this as a pledge and having group after group after group (almost always over 1000cp too, so that should tell you something about how NOT intuitive this game is) being unable to do the Droda mechanic, even after being told what to do.

She can be taunted, but will almost immediately drop taunt and become taunt immune. This happens in the first few seconds of the fight and isn't just the teleport mechanic. As for not being able to taunt, she can be taunted, it's only the teleport mechanic that causes her to target the furthest person away, a la usually the healer.
