Why should I renew ESO plus

Not renewing is perfectly rational. If they don't listen to players feedback regarding broken sets, unbalanced classes, and everything else that is wrong with the game, then maybe they will start paying attention when their revenue starts taking a hit.

Clearly you did not bother to read what I actually wrote. The irrational part would be cancelling over the maintenance window, the rest is up to the individual (not everyone is equally impacted by U35). So no, cancelling a sub is not always going to be rational. Cancelling over temporary server issues isn't rational. If you are impacted by U35, then it is your choice to make on whether or not to cancel. The only person that can say whether you should cancel is yourself, so there is not really much to gain from these forum posts in general.

Anyway, it is perfectly “logical” to cease paying for a product or service that no longer pleases the consumer, for any reason.

Many of us have done so over U35. Purely over it? Certainly not. The list of things people were overlooking simply became harder to do with U35 added to the balance.

It isn’t as if it is irreversible. But there are simply other games to play whilst a better direction is taken in this area and others.

For myself, as a long time fan of the game, I will watch and wait, drop in from time to time, and see what U36 and U37 look like. No great and terrible drama to it, and most certainly logical.

Renewed mine a while ago. Did a year sub, could not regret anything more. I am a Templar.

Try going without it and if that's not too onerous you have your answer. If you can't live without craft bag which for me was the only reason to renew, go in shorter periods.

Things change here far too often.

I take a break from subbing occasionally. I'm subbed now but during part of the spring and summer I wasn't subbed because I knew I would not be playing much more than logging in for dailies and listing items in the guild store.

Dont renew then if thats the way you feel, it is not up to other players to convince you either way. Grow whatever organs you need to summon the courage to make a decision for yourself and stop following the herd.

The main reason to pay is if you're still playing the game and enjoying it. Fair enough if you're fed up with the game and moving on or at least taking a break, I fully understand people cancelling their subscription then. Similarly if people want to switch from a subscription to buying DLCs and other stuff through the Crown Store so they're still contributing to the revenue then I understand that, along with those who cancel the sub because they can no longer afford it. However, enjoying the game enough to keep playing it while wanting it for nothing is just a tad hypocritical, and the excuse often trotted out that they're hitting ZOS in the wallet where it hurts so they'll change their approach simply doesn't make sense.

If you enjoy having access to the content ESO+ unlocks and find the other perks worth the price then renew. If not then do not renew.

Beyond that, why ask us why you should renew? I do not think we know each other and I doubt our games affect the other. So I do not see why we would be interested.

I haven't renewed since mine was up in August, I own every chapter/dlc(sans dungeons), so I was just paying for extra inventory space, I can go anywhere I want, I just can't hoard anymore...

If you don't need the benefits of ESO+ there is no reason to resub no different than any other period.

I took 2 months off around the time of the Deadlands patch and tried out a few other games as i was unhappy at that time. Came back to play and lasted about a week without plus before realizing that if I was going to play I would need to have the sub. At this time I did switch from a multi month sub to just monthly so I can have a quicker turn around on when I am paying the little bit saved wasn't worth not being able to vote with my wallet.

I use the sub for access to all the DLC content and haven't purchased anything directly outside of the chapters in addition to the extra bank and bag space and crafting bag so if I am playing I will have the sub if not I will turn it off.

I didn't see any reason to renew around the beginning of the year. I haven't liked the direction the game is going so didn't purchase High Isle and U35 confirmed my decision. I've also cutback dramatically on my playing to the point I only login for events to get my tickets and maybe buy collection items for the quarter's reward. This quarter I'm not interested in what the Impresario offers so it is getting tickets until my tickets are full and to pickup whatever new motifs I need. So I guess my lack of playtime is one contributing factor to not paying for ESO+.

I also log in during free ESO+ weekends which lets me clear out my storage boxes but for the most part I have plenty of material in my bottomless crafting stash that it will meet my crafting needs for years. While on the subject of storage the addition of the sticker book freed up a lot of storage space which helped free up space for crafting items between free ESO+ weekends. My second reason for not needing ESO+.

Since I am playing less I have pretty much stopped with housing. Due to this I don't need access to the extra furnishing slots. It also negates a need for access to the extra bank slots which I use mainly for holding furnishings. When I do need extra furnishing storage space I use the huge free homes the game has provided as warehouses. This makes reason number three for why I don't subscribe.

For the OP you will have to determine if going without ESO+ impacts the areas of the game you find important and if your playtime can justify the expense. For me it didn't.

Clearly you shouldnt. That's ok. Someone has a different perspective. They will renew. That's ok for them. That's how life works quite often. Sorry you're having a hard time. FWIW, enjoy yourself doing that which refreshes you and empowers you, not that which steals your joy and sours you.

    Infinite craft bag.

The only reason why 99.999% of people have eso plus is this.

Just try playing the game without the plus. I do just fine without it lately. Bank fills up fast though, but its definitely doable.
